Beautiful weather the last two days...70's daytime and dipping into the 50's at night. Grandson has a football game tonight and it's going to be great with temp's in the 60's instead of the high 80's!!

 

Game on Wednesday?

 

He's in middle school "8th grade" and it's a make up game for a game that was called due to bad thunderstorms.

 

Talking to my Grandson, he said "Papa", the only games we have lost were the ones where the coaches didn't play me". Now that is confidence and a great sense of self worth! Their record is 4-2. I didn't have the heart to point out that the only time he gets to play is when the game is under control. He is a freshman on the varsity team.

 

Not bad though playing some varsity as a freshman...I went to a Senior High that had only 10th to 12th grades. I was only 14 when I was in the 10th grade and 145 lbs. so I had to settle for playing some JV football. Same thing in baseball...had to settle for some JV time as a sophomore.

 

Bluejay...have you ever heard of Angelton High School? My nephew that lives close to Rosharon has a son that plays for them.

 

Yep, he's 15.
