He used to complain about the lake effect. I never knew what that was, but noticed when they were talking about this snow fall, they said it was the lake effect. I immediately thought of him.

Took the truck to the dealer this morning to have the pinion seal replaced (small leak - under warranty). They called and said I need new front pads an rotors because the pads are digging into the rotors. Ugh. 32,000 miles and already need brakes. They said it's not a warranty issue and quoted $400. Looks like I'll be doing some brake work in the driveway.

Bigger tires take a toll on brakes.

Might be worth double checking the brakes yourself prior t lo purchasing new stuff

My dad's friend said one time about his wifes car going through tires and brakes.. She spins the tires half a block and slides the tires the other half trying to stop..

I think that's my problem with my rotors, to much spirited driving.. They have been warped since 30k and now the truck is at 43k and getting worse every day. Never had brake problems on the other fords i have owned.

I got rid of my warped rotors when I traded in my truck.

Well it's weird because I'm not getting any pedal vibration, squeaking, grinding, difficulty stopping, long pedal press, or any signs at all of brake wear. Normally at least one of those symptoms are present, at least in my experience. I'm gonna take the tires off this weekend and get a look for myself. I usually do a pretty good job of keeping up with this kind of stuff, just didn't expect it to happen so soon.

Like I said. I recommend you check and confirm the condition of your pads and rotors yourself before you completely trust what they told you.
