No school yesterday for my 7 yr old grandson so we spent the evening in the park. He came back to the house then got to shoot his BB gun and I took him for a ride on the atv. Kid has loads of energy!

Sounds like a great day for both of you. Cute kid.

Decided to work Tue-Thurs. The news last night did not say anything about fog. Drove for 65 miles in the heaviest fog I have driven in. Very scary, you lose all sense of perception and where you are. Just glad I knew the road so well.

He's a handful sometimes but if you keep him occupied he burns off energy and wears himself out.
I use to catch a lot of fog in the morning when I was still working. Sometimes it would mix with smoke from some of the burning cane fields and knock the visibility down to zero. Didn't like driving in fog at all. Don't work too hard this week!!

It's nice working only 3 days a week, but when it's flexible too, even better. Plus sometimes I work 2 days and take stuff to work from home.

I've up since 6am this morning and washing clothes plus running the dishwasher. Getting ready to go to the walking track and get in a mile or two this morning. Need to go to town tonight to attend a wake for a 98 yr old Aunt that passed away. Amazing woman that was a Rosie the Riverter type that made cans at a factory during WW2. She stayed working untill they closed the plant in the 70's. She still had a drivers licence and drove untill about a year ago!

Thanks...the lady lived by herself after my uncle died at 94 yrs old. Never wore glasses and I never saw her with grey hair! Never was sick until she had a massive stroke last week. Catch ya'll later...going to the park!

My Nephew is crazy about Atv's. a couple weekends ago that's all he wanted to do was atv rides. After the 3rd ride that day i pulled out the old Honda 300 Fourtrax and filled it up with gas and told him to be back in a hour . I was beat.. Think we rode about 75 miles before he took it out by himself.

Heck -- I'd take that outcome in a heartbeat, although it would be kind of nice know in advance so I made sure to save a few extra bucks for that long of a retirement! Seriously, though -- late 90's, relatively independent, still driving -- you can't ask for much more than that.....

Hope I can nab a gig like that in retirement -- something to do, a few extra bucks rolling in for mad money, and 4-day weekends every week......

It's nice. Keeps me from getting bored. Really enjoy the people I work with too.
