Let's start over......
I agree...happens all the time down here in hurricane season. A lot different from a blizzard though!
Yeah -- I took 59 up yesterday. On the way back I think I am going to catch 7, take it down to 19, and then hook-up with 45 just south of Huntsville. The only problem with 7 is that you can sometimes get stuck behind logging trucks (and one time I got stuck behind the stupid trail riders for the Houston rodeo....) but it's a decent road and the scenery is nice.

Took the wife to New Orleans yesterday to get her mammogram and consult with her doctor. Being a 15 yr breast cancer survivor she's always nervous about these tests. Everything looked OK and to celebrate we stopped at our nieces house in the upper garden district of New Orleans to visit and see her 1-1/2 yr old little boy. After the visit we rode down St. Charles Ave and passed the old mansions dating back to the mid 1800's...what a ride on a nice day. We stopped on Magazine St. and had po-boy sandwiches at Guy's sandwich shop. Shrimp for me and roast beef for her and they were great. Passed by my old house "untill I was 3 yrs old" on Magazine St. and then proceeded to ride through Audubon Park on our way home. Only thing bad was the condition of the street's in New Orleans...numerous potholes and I had to take it slow in her little Caddy SRX. Housework today so tomorrow I can take a ride to Grand Isle and check on the camp.
