Sitting at the eye doctor waiting to get an eye exam. My vision has been intermittently blurry for the last several months and I've been having trouble focusing on printed words, pictures, street signs, etc. Have to find out if I need glasses.

I've worn glasses for 65 years. There are worse things, but good luck.

Wanted to get closer to Grand Isle where we have a fishing camp.
We also lived on the Westbank. First in Algiers then in Harvey and finally Belle Chasse. My husband was stationed at the Coast Guard station in Belle Chasse. We did have a lot of fun while we were there, Mardi Gras is definitely something I will always remember!

I'll be darn....we lived about 2 blocks before the back gate of the air base for 31 yrs. off Barriere Road. I was in the Air National Guard from 1969 to 1975 also in Belle Chasse. I retired from a company in Belle Chasse 3 yrs ago and we built a house in the country to get away from the noise and traffic congestion...by the way Mardi Gras season is just cranking up even though the big day is on the 17th.
