I liked it. Will I be trading my truck in for one? No.

Maybe I had low expectations for it, but it really impressed me. I punched it the moment we turned onto the main road and I was surprised. Thing just took off and of course traction control was kicking on, roads were dry too. It's the not the throw you into the back of your seat kick like the 5.0L and 3.5L do, but it definitely has enough to get out of its own way and then some. Sounds like the 3.5L from the inside but maybe a little higher pitched, still sounded nice for a tubro V6. This was an XLT so it didn't have the "fake" engine noise either. Power was very smooth under normal acceleration and didn't take a lot of RPM's to get her moving from a stop at a decent speed.

Was too cold for the auto start stop feature to activate so I couldn't see how that is. I put it in sport mode later on too which I'm told turns the auto start stop off as well. Sport mode held gears longer and would hold a gear for a little after letting off the gas even at 6,000rpm. Seemed to have quicker throttle response too.

Overall, I think its a great replacement for the 3.7L V6 and I think it will do good in work/fleet trucks.

My 2015 would be a 5.0L supercrew 6.5ft bed Lariat for those wondering.

They said we might have a dusting of snow here but didn't happen. Got down to 31 but warming up now. It's 33 and headed for 50 this afternoon.
