Let's start over......
Rain all night and all day at the cabin yesterday. Got ready to go fishing about 1:00 and could not get up the hill. It was a quagmire. Worked about an hour and just made an absolute mess of me and the truck. Finally called a tow truck and after convincing him he could get close enough with out getting his rig stuck, he came and winched the truck out. He said there had been so much rain people were getting stuck in places that were normally no problem. Too late to fish so we just drove on to Burleson. Got up this morning to take grandson South to meet his Dad and saw a screw stuck in a front tire. Glad I saw it and got it fixed before hitting the highway. To get to the spare, would have had to unload the kayak and to get to the jack, unload a bunch of gear. I'm not going to get close to the truck for a day or two. Wife wants me yo take it somewhere to be detailed. Mud is in the grain on the steering wheel. Thank goodness for the Wheathertech mats.

I believe it! While I didn't get my truck stuck, I put on my flip-flops this morning and took a bin of aluminum cans around to the side of the house for recycling. I got about 6' off my concrete patio and sunk down to my ankles in mud beneath the grass in the backyard! I've lived in this house since 2001 and have never seen it anywhere close to being this wet.....
