Driving around with my windows down today, I noticed a horrible clacking sound coming from my left front tire area when turning right. It only happened when turning right, but when it happened, man it was painful to hear. It was like a ratcheting, loose metal sound.
I remembered seeing somewhere that noises like that can happen when the front hub has a weak vacuum, causing the hub to be partially engaged. So I drove it to a dirt road, switched on the 4wd, and drove around for about 15 minutes, cycling in and out of 4wd periodically. The noise was not present when in 4wd, and after returning to the street, the noise was gone completely.
What do you guys think? Could it be just a one-time weak vacuum connection from startup, or is it possible I have a hub issue?

All seriousness though i would bet it is a hub issue and i would get it checked out asap since you still have some warranty left. That should be considered powertrain if you are over the 36k bumper/bumper warranty
All jokes aside on Friday I had to shift lanes because an EB KR couldnt get up to speed while entering the highway, he must have had an issue with misfire on WOT

See thats the difference, you don't kick a eb WOT merging on the highway. By the time you get on the highway you will be hitting 100mph.
Maybe he was from my area, These idiots get up on the highway doing 25 mph and takes em 3 miles to ever get close to the speed limit.

I put 550 miles on this weekend. Need to do my oil change. Its at 5500 miles on the oil, and showing 43% on the cluster for oil life.
Crazy they set these computers for 10k intervals. I use to think it actually depended how the oil was doing and the way it was drove. Figured out it doesn't matter. Just like yours 5500 miles and at 43 percent would take it to 9800 miles. Every 100 to 150 miles it goes down 1 percent.
Im at 4600 miles and at 54 percent as of yesterday.. Adds up to 10k exactly

Every time I hammer the accelerator on mine I get a whine and the rear tires brake loose.....

Thanks JohnBoy...only 50 miles away so we go down there almost every weekend during the summer. Now that you're a homeowner working around the house on a holiday is not unusual. Hope you get the boat in the water soon!
