However, in all honesty, the vehicle is just too dang big for my taste in a daily driver -- kind of a pain in the butt to park, too tall to get in-and-out of easily all day long, and I swear to God all the crap I would sit on the passenger seat would eventually slide just far enough away that I couldn't reach it easily going down the highway!
Are they any easier to see out of when backing up? I swear my 04 had more visibility than my 13 does. I may have just gotten use to my Silverado though, it felt so much smaller than the F150 does.

TFL finally tested the 5.0 going up the IKE, It did pretty darn good pulling 9k lbs, at-least its a close competitor to the chebby with the 5.3 and 8 speed.

I watched the video of the 2013 Limited EB and they did 10k up and it pulled it up with ease in a record time, But the 5.0 isn't far behind it even though it was pulling 1000lbs less and weighs less than the last gen.

After driving my truck id go nuts hearing a engine screaming up a mountain at 5k rpm pulling a trailer mile after mile, but doesn't seem to bother most people

The other thing is I'm not sure if a brake is hanging or not. It doesn't pull to one side or the other but as soon as you let off the gas it starts slowing down fairly fast. I've been blaming that on only being a 3 speed though, it's wound out pretty good at 60+ mph

I only drive 1 mile to work so it's not really an issue. I'd rather put the short trip abuse on the car than the truck
I can't remember what year or engine yours is, but i checked the mpg for a 1990 Chevrolet Cavalier 6 cyl, 3.1 L, Automatic 3-spd, Regular Gasoline and it shows it at
18

City

20

Combined

25

Highway

so you may not be far off

2016 Ford F-150 5.0L Takes on the Extreme Ike Gauntlet Towing Review - YouTube
I haven't towed anything with mine yet but that always drove crazy. There's hill around here that with the cruise set on 70 (empty) all my other trucks would shift between 2nd/3rd gear the whole way up. My truck now doesn't even unlock the converter going up the same hills. I imagine that's what being in heaven feels like

Mines a 94 with a 2.2 auto 3 speed. There probably isn't a whole lot of difference between them. I'm sure most of my short tripping doesn't help either.

I really noticed that in Colorado, all the trucks were screaming up the mountains down 2 or 3 gears, my truck was crusing them in 6th running 1800 rpm

I'm to the point of treating it like a "truck" and not worry about the dings, scratches and dents. No point in keep spending money and time to keep it nice foe others to screw it up, just a lost cause.

Me too, tonight i was in the far back. Pulled into a spot with a curb and got as close as possible to keep the passenger side far away from the lines. Have no damn clue how someone hit it that far over. I usually back in but i pulled in tonight which may have been good, i'd rather the rear get hit than the front.

That sucks Coy. That's why I almost hate my truck, I'm afraid to take it anywhere for that reason. I went out last night and parked where no one was in sight. I came out a few hours later and it seemed like everyone had to park around me. The only damage I found though is I lost my debit card
