If all they offer is puny *** v-6s, I'll keep this 5.0 till its worn out. Otherwise, I'll go with whatever brand still offers a v-8.

I'm honestly 50/50 on the V8 sticking around. One way is the Mustang will always have a V8 (hopefully) therefore they could continue putting them in the trucks. On the other Hand with 2 Ebs out and 60 percent of trucks being sold are Eb's they may not keep it around. May come back to the 4.6 and 5.4 days with the 2.7 and 3.5 being the engine choices.

Come 2017 apparently they are only offering the new 10 speed with the Eb. Have a feeling that is going to up the sales even more for the EB and that will be why ford drops the v8.

Hopefully i'm wrong cause a manufacturer should always offer a v8.

I thought I had read that they were dropping the v-8, maybe by 2017.

I agree with you. For as many EB as they sell and as hard as Ford pushes the sale of them I don't see the 5.0 sticking around in F150's much past the current body style.

I hope they don't...when I replace my car years own the road, id get a crew cab v8. Would end up going bigger and diesel if that's the case. I respect the ecoboost but I'd want the v8.

Just about finished with the RV cover modification...added 2 ft of concrete all the way around and all we have to do is put down new anchor bolts this evening. Glad my son in law knows what he's doing!

Another day flying down the highway -- getting ready to throw my bags in the Cavalier and head back to Houston! Looks kind of dreary here in DFW glancing out my hotel room window. The big decision for the rest of the day -- where to have lunch.......

I did just that for a couple of years. Then some jack wagon pulled out in front of me while I was going 55. Haven't been back in a small car since. Realized my safety was more important.

This cavalier has made me become a more defensive driver for sure! Especially with not having ABS  slam on the brakes and she just slides and slides the front tires. I found out to not drive it during winter with these West Texans on Ice
