Looks pretty quiet around here - guess I haven’t missed much!
Only thing new around here is that I picked up a “first vehicle” for my boy who just turned 16 - a short box regular cab 2002 Dodge Dakota that I picked up on eBay. Vehicle spent the first 19 years of its life with one owner out in Sacramento, CA. Second owner had it for a few months up in Butte, MT. I became owner #3 a few weeks back and already have it detailed out and looking like new! Only has 36,000 original miles on the odometer and as soon as we got it off the truck I started having reservations about turning such a pristine vehicle over to a 16-year-old kid…..😮
He’s already been given “the talk” that if I find out he’s not taking care of it, the green ‘97 Cavalier will become his new ride…..😂

and then a bus pass thru town and some job application hints? LoL
My 2000 Dakota has the 4.7l V8, 5 speed NV3500, and the 9.25" rear axle and 3.92 ratio gears with LS. It's a pure burnout machine. Been driving it more during the summer, has 115k on the odometer. Never driven during the winter. No rust.
Ddellwo..that Dakota looks great. Wish I had one at 16 instead of a Schwinn!! Wife and I bought this 30 ft camper last month with no intention of towing it with the Expedition. Drove it back close to 150 miles from the dealer and it did pretty good. Camper is in the 7500 lb range and the Expedition towed it pretty good. Taking it out on our first trip next weekend. Hope you guys have a great weekend!!

Nice truck! Tell ya what though the word Dakota just leaves a bad taste in my mouth due to the company trucks we have. They range from 150k miles to 440k miles and its a guarantee each test they are run it will be a tow truck involved 😂. But with those low miles you have it'll be a long time before issues

Times are a changing! Ddellwo buys a Dodge and Paw pushes an Expedition with a travel trailer. Who would have believed it!
No trucks available when I needed one last November. Wife had an Expedition years ago so when we saw this one on the lot and bought it. They even came off the sticker price!! Get's up to 23 mpg on the hwy and 18 round town so thats not bad. My daily driver and when we can afford gas will be used for trips!! Great all purpose vehicle in my opinion and tows better then I thought it would. Hope you've been doing great on your end. We always look out for our senior citizens!!
Wow...thats impressive Coy!! Hope you've been doing OK. Still getting work done on our house after Hurricane Ida but its about 80 to 90% complete. Good seeing you old farts on here!!
