I used to play anytime the greens were not frozen and they would let me on the course. I've played while it was snowing and 38 degrees. I was a golf nut.

There's a really good public course outside of Brookshire that I keep trying to talk Jim into trying. I don't think I've ever played around Galveston - except for Moody Gardens - and that doesn't really qualify.

Have you ever played the Chennault Park Course near Monroe?

The day after Christmas, I played a little course at Needville that no self respecting cow had ever been on.

I've played it a few times over the years. The last time I was there, I could really see a lot of improvements. It's a fun and fairly cheap course to play.

Depending on how much is cheap to you It is up to about 45 on the weekends to play now.

Did they have the GPS carts the last time you played?

$45 is nothing to her. She's a lawyer, remember.

No - just always a bunch of ducks and geese on the 17th hole. They always made me nervous.

I haven't been there since mid-2007.
