Patrick, that is just a shame! It really did not look that bad from the pics.

Patrick, if you are like me, when it comes to things such as this, you will always do a little second guessing and wish you had taken the other route. Just part of life.

One thing you need to ask yourself is that if you salvage it, will you be happy with the results? Can you ever trust it structurally or was it so minor that it is really not a factor?

It's really amazing. Even at my age, you can still learn. All these years, I have heard the shocks, Bilstein, pronounced Bill-steen. Now, I have always understood the double vowel rule that the first is silent and the second is long, but that does not necessarily apply to people's names. When I ordered my shocks yesterday, they pronounced it Bill-stine. Just sounds wrong, maybe even a little "sissy".

How have you been pronouncing it?

"steen" ftw

really looking at this truck. Also an identical one with flareside, and another two red STXs with lower mileage for a little more

Blue, i dont think i would be happy with the repairs, even though they would be gauranteed for the life of the truck. I doubt it would ever be/feel the same again.

Just negotiating settlement, and asking to strip mods off of the truck and swap with working factory parts..... Very very hard to see my baby go

That was what I was trying to say between the lines. Every time I heard a new rattle or felt something different in a curve, I would wonder if there was a problem related to the repair. Mostly mental, but that is me.
