I was 15 man. I put it by her mailbox because I didn't know what to do. I was obviously scared. I put it there so they may have wanted to bury it or me. If I said I left it in the middle of the road, I'm sure you would of had something to say about that too. And like ranger said, at least I had the nads to tell the lady, who admitted fault about letting her dog out to run free on a dirt road where people ride horses, motorcycles, atv's, etc.

Would you let your toddler run around on the street and blame some person for hitting her? Who is really in the wrong here?

And she let that damn dog chase cars and people all the time. She knew she was wrong and stupid and it was bound to happen.

I'd do it again. That dog pissed me off. I'm sorry again, that I don't equate that dogs life to a humans. Just my stance in life. I've slammed on brakes many a times or swerving into bushes/ditches trying to avoid this rampant retarded dog.

Hey, If I let my dog outside in an area unfenced and it gets run over. This is completely my fault. Will I be sad? Yes. Will I be angry at the person? Yes? Is it their fault? Not at all.

So if all you're tripping on is me saying I'd do it again. Like I said, Imagine every time you went to enjoy a ride around the 'hood on your bike and some dog came running out at you trying to commit suicide. The damn thing tried to what seem nip at your front tire. It was a dumb dog.

I'm sorry, I just don't equate human life with a dogs. This old man who died is tragic, this retarded dog who dived in front of vehicles is a moron.

I'm am a sick person. I enjoy eating babies and running over gay poodles.

Man, I love people who make quick judgments about a person and have no idea who is behind the keyboard.

I've probably passed more goverment pysch evals in a week for clearances/Armors access/etc than you have in your whole life, of course unless you've had needed them.

"A 78 year old man was hit by a car "Hit and run" in Connecticut and nobody did anything to help. A car stopped and a man got out and looked and then just continued on. This is ********* UP!!!"

I heard the guy didn't die, but he's paralyzed from the neck down. What have we become? - Og

God damn...its a dog. Only a dog. Relax!!

Do you think everytime i ran over a bird or rabbit in the middle of the road i stopped and found the rabbits mother and told her? No...Its the same thing. If a dogs owner doesnt know you cant let it run out in the middle of the road, obviously she doesnt need to have a dog. I bet if you replaced that dog with a toddler the child would be laying in the middle of the road. If shes not responsible unuff to keep the damn dog fenced in or someone watching it, oh well. I would expect the exact same thing to happen if i let my dog outside and it was unsupervised, it is going to either run away or get run over. Besides, I rather take out a dog that ran in the middle of the road, then lock my brakes up and hit another car possibly killing its occupants an letting a little poodle survive. Im sure that poodle feels really bad for what it has caused....

you guy's are overreacting. Ordinancecorps sounds like the normal guy to me on this thread.

it's not like he shot the darn thing. it ran out in the street under his tire.
People that don't take care of their dogs are just asking for something like this to happen. Ya she's an old lady she maybe get's a pass... but it's not his fault.

My neighbor has a dog that is fenced in with a chainlink fence. this dog barks uncontrollably everytime someone walks by or i drive thru the alley. The owner can be right outside and not say a thing to the dog. You don't know how many times I have almost drove right over her fence and stuck my 35's on it's annoying little head!

ya well that's somewhat harsh I suppose.
but it sounds like the neighborhood was a better place after that dog was gone if it was really chasing all the cars and people on bikes.

i agree anyone who lets there dog run wild when it should be leashed/fenced can t be suprised if it gets hit but... come on just throwing it by her mailbox.you should have said" sorry your dog was running loose and i accidentally hit it" or if the owner wasnt home call the local animal control and let them handle it. this whole i was scared at 15 and couldnt think of anything to do.. im not buying it. why didnt you yell your parents? they would have had a solution. at least a good parent would have.
