nucler
I believe that he pronounces it nuculur.

Yeah, we've got seven plus years of sound bites where Bush sounds like a babbling idiot but then he's never been dubbed a "skilled orator".

Obama's been on the scene for a short time and there are a few of his "less than perfect moments" for us to view/hear. He can read it properly, but without it written he has as much problem as anyone else you might criticize. He has been dubbed a "skilled orator". That's the kind of change we can expect? A president who can read a speech better?

I like Obama's health care proposal for kids with asthma. He's wants to give them a breathalizer. If that doesn't work he'll give them an inhilator.

You've got to love that double double standard standard.

So is this the McCain Strategy, Smear and Negative?? I've already been forwarded Several E-mail chains claiming everything from Barrack being a Muslim to him being an Anti Patriot who "Hates America"

McCain's Old, so should you Not vote for him??

Get Real People, Let's Debate the ISSUES!
From Barack's book, Audacity of Hope:
> 'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly
> direction.'

How do you explain this????

Since you asked I'll try to explain it.
If something is twisted, chopped, and made into a sound byte, just as Hannity reads the quote above day and night on his radio and tv show, it seems to be unexplainable.

Obama was talking about 'Americans' like you and me, of the Muslim faith.
Here is the passage lifted from the book...

"...In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

Would he also stand with Muslim non-citizens that are living in the US? Like the ones who lived here while training and carrying out the 9/11 attacks?

I see a bit of a difference between someone's nationality, and someone's religious beliefs. I'm not saying we should arrest and interrogate all Muslims living here, the vast majority are peaceful, law abiding, productive members of society. But we're dealing with a group who hide among the innocent, and we've seen how just a few individuals with enough dedication can cause horrible events.

I don't want to interpret for others, I leave it to them to do as they see fit.

If you have any intention of being fair, then you should at least have all the text at your disposal.

Again, I don't understand why people need to get "dirty" when trying to bring down Obama. This is a clear example! Thanks Raoul for clarifying..

I guess it's because a lot of people just Believe it, regardless of how Crazy and stupid it sounds...

Don't be naive. If you don't like America or you're not proud of your country, go some place else. Craz3d you're starting to sound very unpartriotic.

The difference is (since you don't seem to be able to figure it our yourself) the Nation of Japan has not threatened us, nor have they attacked us since we made peace.

There is a group claiming to be acting on the Word of God who have attacked us and who are currently threatening more attacks.

Come on Crazed, think for a second before posting stupid stuff like that.

At least Hillary has the ***** to still use her maiden name, as in a middle name.

How fast has Obama run away from HIS middle name, which is Hussein.

I hate to break it to y'all, but no one named Hussein will ever be elected President of the United States. No matter how hard Oprah tries.. And it's funny that she acknowledges that her name is the name of a genius spelled backwards. Nothing satanic about that, oh no... LOL

I'm still waiting for Drawoh Eom to run for office.. THAT'S someone I could support!!

All in good fun y'all, don't take offense..

We have to stand behind Muslims in order to protect them AND ourselves.
Protecting muslims is absolutely not the way to protect ourselves! Good grief man, they have sworn to eliminate each and every non-muslim in any way possible! What part of that don't you understand?

We must target individuals or we sink to their level of pointless bigotry.
Under different conditions, that statement might be relevant. But on this subject it does not apply. If your house is infested with rats, you don't eliminate only those that pood on your floor. You eliminate them all! Self protection is not bigotry! They made the rules. They voiced the lethal threat. Pointing it out is not bigotry.

By house, I assume you mean the US.
By rats, I assume you mean those Americans who practice the Islamic faith.
By 'all' I assume you mean them all.

That is exactly what Obama meant in his quote and you have placed his quote in context perfectly.

I'm-a-call a spade, a spade here and keep it real. A

I'm not taking sides, however, allow me to intervene with some questions to your comments, Flagship -

What's the percentage? I ask because I've always wondered this however, have never seen a credible news source claim any numbers. What's your credible source?

Yeah, but, good God man, what's female genital mutilation got to do with anything CrAz3D said?

No, do you have a source?

Yeap. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is an Islamic Terrorist Organization. Nobody should be fooled by their BS sugar-coated acronym.

He condones them? Really? Where exactly does he say he condones these actions?

Yes and know. This statement alone could make for a lengthy, intelligent discussion.

You're generalizing to the uttermost degree. Labeling/classify all muslims in the same category defies the principles of common sense and reasoning..... and that's precisely what you're doing with the above statement. The islamic extremists [nutters] have taken this oath... not ALL muslims.... even the US government authenticates this. Yet you know better?

That's a poor analogy and we both know that. **** poor.

There you go generalizing ["they"].... again. **** weak.
