Actually, many of those trucks will be repaired and sold to the public. Depending on the state, some states allow damage up to 20%~ of the total value of the vehicle to be repaired WITHOUT TELLING POTENTIAL BUYERS!

My guess thought is that most people will hear about this and ask questions.

Correct but the majority of them are going to be totaled just by looking at the news clip. There are probably only four that are going to be repaired because of being bumped vs the twelve that are being totaled.

In the news clip, 6 vehicles were reported damaged. This statement was made during the arial shot showing 7 trucks touching at least one other truck.

So we know at least one truck could be resold!

Puente Hills Ford in City of Industry, CA had a semi come off the freeway, crash into the truck section and catch fire. This happened 1 or 2 years ago.
Over 2 dozen trucks were damaged, including fire damage. Most of the trucks were screws. I saw them personally before they were transported elsewhere. Some of the damage was very minor. Rear bumpers and bed sides were dented. I am sure they could be repaired without permanent issues.
I called and asked if I could get a deal on one of the lesser damaged, after it was repaired. No one in sales would ever tell me what happened to the damaged trucks. My request never went anywhere.
I am almost afraid to know why they were so 'closed lipped'.
Anybody notice a sudden influx of brand new screws from CA in the last year or 2?

Did we watch the same clip? The clip I watched said 12 vehicles were totaled and I could only see about 2-3 touching with minimal damage so I said 4 for good measure.
