F150's and F250's in your area ???

I've noticed something kind of strange about Ford trucks in these parts.....

We have TONS of F150's. Of course a good percentage are work trucks... XL's that are white with dark charcoal bumpers.
Then, you see a pretty good number of Screws, that might have done as much as tinted their glass, and maybe added some 20" or 22" aftermarket chrome wheels. {mostly street trucks}
And finally, you might see a few FX4's with a level kit, and 35"s......

But the point of all of this is I see a lot more nicer F150's, that are way more modded out, right here on this forum, than I do in my entire area.

Now interestingly, I do see at least three F250's (or F350's) that are completely over the top ! 10" or 12" lifts... 40" tires.... high dollar, aftermarket paint jobs... I mean like just dripping in $$$ !

So, this morning I decided to look for some bad-*** F250's or F350's on that section, in these forums, and with a quick search, didn't find any ?

It just seems to me that what I see on these forums, is kind of opposite of what I see around my town ? Hope this comparison makes sense.
Do you guys have any $60K, $80K, or more $, F250's and F350's in your parts of the country ? We sure do !
How about completely over the top F150's ? We sure don't.

Hmmmm,
Fish

PS, This is actually kind of cool for me.... as the competition in these parts among F150's in not very steep. Whereas, if I had an F250..... forget about trying to look cool among these guys !

Oh... one more funny little thing..... Every time one of these high dollar F250's drives by, I have a buddy who says, "Small *****" ??? :-) That's got to be some major compensation there ! :-)
Of course the truth is, "We WISH we had a truck like that" ! But since we don't, we have to talk a little $#!+, right ? :-) LOL

Most of the SuperDuty's I see around here are pretty tame as far as modifications go. Maybe some aftermarket rims, exhaust, etc. I think part of that has to do with the fact that they're pretty damn sweet rides straight from the factory, and don't need much to be cool.

Basic F-150's, however, are pretty "vanilla" straight from the factory, and need quite a bit of work to make them unique or interesting.

where I live, most of the trucks are completely stock. There are a few superduty's with 6 inch lifts and 37's with stacks but thats about it. As far as f150's go, mine is the most modded within probably a 25-30 mile radius. There is a saleen running around here though, the guy doens't keep it clean at all though.

Chris, im my town alone there are at least 2-3 F150s with the procomp, 1 with fabtech, and ive seen a Rize lifted one around too... Lots of modded F150s around.

But there are lots of big F250s too, and a ridiculous amount of lifted chevys.

Right on guys....

Hey Nuclear, good point ! :-)

Fish

Hey BTW, if I happen across any of these big, bad-*** 250's or 350's I'm talking about, while parked, I'll ask them if they mind if I take few photos (I always have a camera with me) and I'm almost sure they will be glad to show off these rides :-)

Where I am at you see absolutley everything, big small but rarely dull. I have 4 buddies with lifted f150s another buddy with one of those holy s*** 250s with over 600 hp on a 10 or 12 inch fabtech. And then downtown and well everywhere you see some blinged out rims. And then the older people all have lariats and kingranches and of course they are brand spankin new. Not too many of my 02s in my town.

Here are a few running around atlanta http://southernoffroadspecialists.com/customer_gallery

Southern California has some of the nicest and most expensive trucks you will ever see. I have been dwarfed by many 250's, 350's, Rams, Sierra's and Silverado's.

LOTS of F-Series of every sort around these parts, but rarely do I see a modded up truck.
