Truck Holster

Depending on your state's laws, you'll prolly need a CCW, and even then, it can be tricky, because in many states it's illegal for it to be visible. This rules out most mounting locations. I just keep mine in my center console when I'm driving, and on my person when I'm not. Good luck man.

well in that case i would buy a inexpensive fobus holster drill the rivets out of the paddle and use the holes to mount the holster as for where if you are going for the conceal ability I would go for the underside of the seat if your right handed, leftie ? not really any good place except the door and then its visible every time you get in or out of the truck

Here is Ohio's regulations about a CCW in a vehicle:
What about transporting a handgun in a motor vehicle?
The link to this is in the main section. (E) No person who has been issued a license or temporary emergency license to carry a concealed handgun under section 2923.125 or 2923.1213 of the Revised Code shall do any of the following: (1) Knowingly transport or have a loaded handgun in a motor vehicle unless one of the following applies: (a) The loaded handgun is in a holster on the person’s person . (b) The loaded handgun is in a closed case, bag, box, or other container that is in plain sight and that has a lid, a cover, or a closing mechanism with a zipper, snap, or buckle, which lid, cover, or closing mechanism must be opened for a person to gain access to the handgun. (c) The loaded handgun is securely encased by being stored in a closed, locked glove compartment or in a case that is locked.
According to a frined of mine, who is in the Ohio State Highway Patrol, failure to do this will cause you to get into deep chit if you are pulled over and have not complied with these regs.

With Virginia being an open carry state, you may put a holster for your pistol out in the open. This is the preferred method for non CCers. If you had a center console on the side of that would be the best. If no center console, I would try to mount it up on the rack above your head. That would be a pretty good spot because if you get pulled over, it would not be in any way concealed and harder for you to reach thus making an encounter with an officer less tense.
