the only way to engage the limited slip with the tiny 4.6 (and this works i have done it, but barely and on dirt) is to engage the E BREAK, give it the gas, as you release from the e brake apply all breaks (if your quick enough) without moving. Then gradually let off the brake till the point of spin at the tires as the front breaks hold you in place. HOW DUMB DOES THAT SOUND? THATS HOW IT WORKS BUD...dont talk me down

When I was much 'younger', I never could figure out why I couldn't make a set of tires last past 15,000 miles..... Now I remember.... I used to do that kind of stuff too!! I don't have any pics of them, but lots of different cars and sets of tires went to the wayside!
My current set of tires have about 70,000 miles on them.. HUMMM......
Enjoy it now, as once you get to 'old fart' status, you probably won't be as inclined to do that as often!

Hi, sorry, but YOU are obviously clueless as to how a conventional clutch type posi/limited slip unit works, like we have in our trucks. Im not going to waste my time on this because it sound like you know it all, but in short, the side gears, which are forced outward under power (and resistance between the spinning of the driveshaft and your wheels) and the springs, squeeze a set of clutch packs between the differential housing and the side gears. With enough force of the side gears moving outward, the clutches can 'connect' the side gears and the housing together. This lets both left and right to spin with the differential housing, and viola, limited slip. Of couse, clutches slip, so a limited slip isnt going to truly 'lock' them together, and the clutches can and do slip.
You just showed a video of a peg leg burnout. You either DONT have a posi in your truck OR, with 311k miles on it, your clutches in the rear end are pretty much done for, and it takes a LOT of resistance between your driveshaft and your wheels for them to engage. Hence the reason you must have to hold your regular brakes, the e-brake, AND rev the **** out of your little 4.6 to leave two little scratch marks.
Calling someone out and saying they just took pictures of someone elses burnout just because your truck cant do it??? Lame-o

Nuclear do you have posi because i doubt you do and that there is a posi burnout, not a factor limited slip, i don't think that's yours, anyone else agree? Check out built 54s video, his truck doesn't even wonder when he lights em up, and i am sure he would dust you. That's more like a mustang burnout where the rear end of the car hops with its 4 11s
So you can tell the difference between a posi burnout and a limited slip burnout huh????
Little tip....posi and limited slip are the SAME THING!!!
Wanna know another thing???? The limited slip in our trucks are the SAME THING as whats in the Mustangs!!!
4.11s make a car hop??? Learned something new today I guess. Didnt know the rear end ratio made a difference as to whether you leave one or two marks either.....

BTW, I just cut my first doughnut on dry pavement in over 20 years LOL! My son thought it was so cool... I was so paranoid about the cops (funny, when I used to do it in my younger days, I didn't worry about the cops lol)
