They'll keep working us. Forever.

They always offer excuses, but in the end always contradict themselves. It's all bull****, but for now, I'm tired of complaining.

This weekend a day trip for the truck and boat came in at $170, I'll be damned if im gonna stop playing because *******s are drilling more then oil (Us.) but it does start to hurt, and starts getting ridiculous.

When are the people of northamerica going to be in a position to start a class action lawsuit. Everyone knows the oil companies are ****ing us, but we seem to have no proof.

Don't tell me it's supply and demand, because its mother****ing not.

It was $3.54 here in Cleveland last week---within two days it was $3.99...all over the place. It seemed like even the stations that were known to be cheaper jacked up their prices---everybody is at $3.99.

Knoxville has the highest average in all of TN, and amongst the highest in the ENTIRE F'IN country!!! As usual, the middle of the country is paying for this "crisis." The extreme west and east (with a larger percentage of wealthy people) are once again getting to revel in this increase in their investments. Screw this crap. Bring on alternative fuels so that Big Oil can get the rightful "******* You" that it deserves.

It seems that those on the west coast who seem to have their heads on straight...for once. I can see supply and demand explaining $.05-$.10 price jump. Yes, the wells aren't producing and the trucks are not bringing it to the pumps. But that is for a week at best. I think they (oil companies to the independent pump owners) know we are expecting a price hike and they prey upon it. The oil companies add a little more the price and every step down the line adds a little more, just trying to get a piece of the pie. Eventually ending up in the >$.20 price hike most of us are seeing.

Just my $.02 (no pun intented)

How witty.

And I'm not the only one, there are many.

I'm not mad because of the cost, but the fact that there is no real reason for it.

Only answers I hear are "supply and demand". Well, here, in 01, price of a litre of fuel would be around $.50-.60 with minor influx for years past. Fast forward to today, $1.45 per litre.

Did the worlds population increase %90 in 7 years? Ya know what I remember in 01? Planes flying into buildings, creating wars, inturn creating hysteria. This is around the time a lightbulb went off in someones head that they can profit greatly off unsure times. And through the good and bad, they just kept drilling us.

Up $.10, down $.04, repeat.. Repeat..

Reasons? Bad times, GOOD times, Weather, war, middle east unrest, futures, forcasts, dollar, mad cow, billy falling off his bike and scraping his knee...

Agree 100%. There's just no good reason for the price to jump 12-15 cents/liter in an 8 hour period. Last Friday I drove to work at 8:30 in the morning and the price was $1.33/liter, when I drove back home at 5:00 it rose to $1.46/liter. All of this while the price of oil continues to fall.

You know.... I always hear dumbass' say oh.. it's supply&demand.. ohh it's a hurricane.. Oh.. well... that muskrat **** on a pipeline... BUT that is petty in comparison to what is happening... Oil is 96??? a barrel???? Last time it was that price gas was..... 2.50????

Gas.... from the same storage bin... At the same station... goes from 3.42 to 4.29 in 2 days???? That is totally getting $'d to death.....

By the way .. right before labor day oil was 125-130 and gas 3.22 ......

If one of these people were every actually in my face when saying this.... I may loose the ability to asses my actions .

I just topped up this morning @ $1.29 per litre. It dropped 9 cents from yesterday.

Got gas pains? This should offer some relief.
Gasoline watchdog Dan McTeague said prices across the GTA were expected to drop 9 cents last night at midnight, bringing regular unleaded gas prices from $1.38 down to $1.29.

And that can be blamed on Hurricane Ike hysteria.

"There's obviously been no significant damage to the refinery sector of the United States," the Liberal MP said in a phone interview last night. "But this is where my enthusiasm ends. It should be a lot more than that."

On Friday at midnight, gas prices skyrocketed to almost an extra 13 cents per litre.

And more of these extreme price fluctuations can be expected, McTeague added.

"The oil industry operates with impunity and can basically pass on any interest increase when it wants."

McTeague expects more price drops in the future. His advice? Wait to fill up.

"These guys owe us some money and they owe us the courtesy of bringing prices back to where they were last week," he said

I just realized all of the Shell stations i passed in the last three days are out of gas. Well, i say that, they have bags over their handles. I assume they are out. I wonder if they are waiting for all the crazy prices to drop before they restock, or if they supply line was damaged. Not real sure how/where they get their fuel from. Just paid 3.89 this morning... last week, it was 3.56...
Sucks, but at least we can still get gas, unlike some peeps in Texas...

Well the morning the storm hit gas here went from $3.65 to $4.49. It is so ridiculous. There was one store that kept it at $3.65 for the whole day. I was of course on empty. This particular station would only allow you to pump 10 gallons. I pumped 10 drove around the building pumped ten and then drove around again and pumped 6 gallons. Now all the stations are at $4.19. Whats so crazy is the cost of oil is still down.
