ill delete this as soon as i get an answer so it wont waste too much space, but for christamas im gonna try to get someone somewhere to get me some chrome vent rings for the f150 but what exactly is it that i9m lookin for? is it in fact rings or the whole vent? and if anyones bought any are they pricey?.... i saw the whole vents in silver (i got all black ones, but think the silver would look better) that fits my bill perfectly on ebay but its just some guy selling one for too much.....

I have the silver vent with chrome rings you are looking for. if you have the black rings I will swap with you.

 

really?, just to clarify theres nothing really special about my vents...... theyre ALL black, black vents with black outer ring, and not like chrome black just black...... and if your still interested in a trade (4 all black for 4 silver with chrome) then im really interested....

 

How easy are those vent rings to swap, anyway ??? Mine are chrome too..... which totally "does not" go with the styling of my truck.

I'd like to trade my chrome rings for black ones too.... Or hell, if I had to, just buy the darn things new (black) and replace my chrome ones....

or was you talking about the rings?...... i may have misread (as you can tell with my original responce), but anyway im still interested if you mean just the rings, granted i cant picture the black/chrome combo but i dont imagine it would look that bad.....

So, just for the hell of it, I called the stealership to see what they wanted for those.... $25 each ! $100 for four of them ! Yea' right.

I think I'm just going to start hitting up every "new" F150 XL owner I see, and maybe one of them will want the "upgraded" XLT vents with the 'pretty chrome rings' :-) Do a trade on the spot, and Bam ! Everybody is happy :-)
