If you want I'll race you and my truck is bone stock as far as performance mods go.
Not even a k&n filter

 

He has no mods.

 

Theres only one way to find out.

If it is a 2000 5.4L...He should be able to outrun you...but not by a whole bunch. Try a test from the line and side-by-side going down the road. When I went up against a 99 4.6L with a chip...my truck was able to outrun him....but I did not blow his doors off. The other guy was more than impressed though.

Ill lose to a 99-up 5.4l, but this is a 98'. I will post results!

 

OHHHH! A 98, like my old one...I think you will have a MUCH easier time then!

With this new info....I would like to change my vote....you should be able to take him no problem.

The 5.4L that I had in my 98 had plenty of get up and go...but your truck with a chip should be able to take him!

Best of luck! Just remember..his speed limiter is 108 mph..and don't hurt him too bad!

Im stock except for a K&N Airfilter. If I whooped a 5.0l {1996 I believe} by 1.5 car lengths, and that was with my slower 97 4.6l.
