Memphis shooting......
March 8 - Police say a man opened fire on firefighters responding to a house fire in Memphis, Tenn., today. At least three people were killed and as many as three others injured. Shots rang out in Memphis, Tenn.,
after firefighters responded to a house fire.
Those shot include two firefighters, one sheriff’s deputy, a civilian and the gunman. Memphis Police Inspector Richard Sojourner says the dead include a firefighter, a Shelby County sheriff’s deputy and a woman.
Her body was found inside a burning house. Police say the firemen had just arrived at the site of a house fire when the shots rang out. The home was still burning after the shootings.

Memphis is just 80 miles south of where I live and from what I heard on the news the Guy who shot the fireman and the deputy was a fireman himself who got repermanded so he open fire on the fireman it was a ambush it was the exact same department he worked at that came to his house thats was the latest I heard on one of the Memhis stations.

Heard on the news this morning that it was a setup. The suspect was another firefighter who started the fire and his wife was the one in the building that was killed. Don't know if it was his own house or not.

It will really be a sad day when FIREFIGHTERS have to pack heat to fight fires...or have police escort.
I can't believe the guy went *nuts* over a reprimand...and killed members from his own department.
The first officer on the scene never had a chance at all...
