Songs that mention Ford trucks????
I am in the process of putting together a CD of songs that make a mention of Ford trucks
I know I hear them on the radio every-so-often but never think to write it down. So, I turn to F150Online for help. Irelize that most of these songs listed will be country songs (most other genres do not typically mention trucks, let alone Fords) and they some members do not listen to that style of music, but any help would be appreciated.
I'll start:
Jason Michael Carroll - Where I'm From
"...The truck's a Ford and the tractor's green..."
Brantley Gilbert - My Kinda Party
"...Oh baby, you can find me.
In the back of a Ford truck tailgate.
Sittin’ ‘round watchin’ all these pretty things..."
Colt Ford - Saddle Up
"...We ride Fords with lift kits..."
Neal McCoy - Tail on the Tailgate
"'74 Ford truck, rusted out an' beat up.
Fire-engine red, been a part of the family
for years."
Tracy Byrd - Redneck Roses
"...Step out of that old beat up Ford..."
Eric Church - Two Pink Lines
"...I pulled up slinging gravel in my Daddy's Ford..."
I'll post more if I find some...
Anybody else got something?

In 2002, Country singer Kenny Chesney covered this on his No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problems album. Chesney always loved the song and thought the lyrics were very Country, but was afraid to record it because he generally dislikes covers and has a great respect for Springsteen. When he sent his version to Springsteen, Bruce sent him back a note telling Chesney he did a great job with it, bringing a lot of sensitivity to the lyrics.
