Update on my Dad & truck!

Thanks again everyone! I am going to see about the chip this weekend. I am also having the truck "re-inspected" by someone I know who is going to tell me if he finds anything wrong with it. I just want to be really careful with this truck - it has to last till I can afford the Harley Davidson model - that should be sometime in 2034!!!! LOL! Then again, I can grab my drill, slide under this truck & with a few well placed holes get that same sound now! ROFL!
I have a new question - what grade gas should I use now? I'm using regular but don't know if that's high enough octane or not! AS FAR AS I KNOW there are no performance mods on this truck but then again, I didn't know about the CD disc changer either until I got it home!
I may post a whole new topic about that so stay tuned! I am FULL of questions & you folks are the best mentors I could ever hope to find ANYWHERE! Thanks for that!
As for my Dad, he's home from the hospital. That's good but now they want to send a hospital bed over. Since July, he's been unable to sleep in a bed & has slept in his recliner. I guess they want his legs elevated more due to the clot. He still is mobile & the day he was rushed to the hospital, he'd been out running errands! I hope he's up to that again soon. I know I had a hard time keeping up with him when "I took him for a walk" as he was always in front of me! The man's amazing - most awesome Dad a girl could ask for! You'd all love him - he taught me everything I know about cars! Pretty progressive if you ask me! Only problem with knowing alot about cars is no guy could ever pretend to break down somewhere "romantic" 'cause I'd jump out to fix it! Sorry guys!
Well, let me do some surfing - be back in a bit! Bye for now!

If you can't beat 'em, you're NOT driving a FORD!
'97 F150 XLT ORP 4X4
4.6L/auto/power EVERYTHING,
nerf bars, 17" wheels, fog lights, trailer hitch w/electrical connector, front tow hooks, bed rail caps,
6 CD changer, lumbar support & 3 cow license plates - so far!
I'll fill in the rest as I get to know the truck better BUT it's big, it's pretty & best of all - IT'S A FORD! He's SO cute!

Your trucks computer is programed from the factory to run on reg unleaded gas. Anything more than reg usually isn't burned by the engine and is money poured out the tailpipe.
If you want that bad boy to sound like a fat boy (a harley) change the muffler!!! I added a 40series 2chambered Flowmaster cat-back to my ol truck and it sounded Grrrreat!! Quite loud too.

I have another message thread going - it's called "Anybody game?" & it's about getting our own truck rally going!
In an effrot to be fair I looked up the geographical center of the US - it's Lebanon, Kansas not far from Topeka. Anyhow, there seems to be some interest in it & I am asking everyone to spread the word to see if it's something we can do. I would really love to meet all of you & to see your trucks too!
BTW - truck passed inspection with flying colors! I need 1 socket for a license plate lamp & he replaced the other 1 for free! In fact, he didn't charge me at all! I am sure getting alot more respect now that I drive a 6,000# F150!
I have to run but check my other post & tell me if you would be interested!
Oh Tina - lugs are ok I was told as the nuts have washers attached directly to them. He noticed that right away. Now, what else did you tell me to check on the springs? I have been getting SO MUCH info I'm dazed! LOL!
Catch y'all soon! Bye!
