Question Tips/Advice on this.

I met a fellow grower, owning a F150, this afternoon at The Greenery International.
While our trailers were being loaded with empty packaging,we talked about our trucks offcourse.
Subject:Famous doorcracks.

Henk's Truck got them in both doors. He didn,t knew about this doorcrack-problem.He thanked me for letting him know.
First thing he will do tomorrow is to visit his dealership and let them know about this.

Further he has had some trouble with rusted bumper(s),told me he got a new one.

Now he told me he had ordered that thing on the rearwindow as you can see on the picture.
The chevy-dealer where he bought his F-150 said it would cost him around 700 Dutch Guilders (275 US$)

My dealership said it would cost him only 200 Dutch Guilders (80 US$),so he ordered one.

Now I can't believe there is so much difference in price, ridiculous!!!

What do they cost in the US ??

Do you see these things alot in the US or Canada ?

Picture was taken at my dealership.

Anyone has experience with this thing sticking on the rearwindow ?
Tips/Advice please TIA

Hope to have some pics next saturday.

Any website where you can view other designs ?
BTW Does somebody know which brand runningboards are on this truck ?

Cool

Hey C, I've seen the window graphics here where I live. Cost is $65 all kinds of designs. Your price of $80 doesn't sound to bad considering the shiping to get to you. As far as those running boards, I don't know. Could be almost any brand. Looks kind of like LUND.

F150Europe,
The picture in the back window of the cab is called a "Glasscapes One Way Vision Graphics" (very nice BTW). They have them in the Bass Pro Shops "Truck World" catalog for $94.99, but they tend to be a little expensive. You could probably get them elsewhere for less. Not sure about the running boards.

Hope this helps.

I think when I was looking at them, those wondow 'covers' were around $80 (US) but certain 'trademark' designs can be higher.

The running boards look like Lund 'step mates', but I think they have since changed the design. I know they changed the design of the headlight covers, and even though my RB's are Lund, (called 'running mates') there are very few like mine.
I need a better pic to see them better.

Thanks,

About that price.Seems like a fair price then 85.
But I have to agree with Andthensometoo that there must be a difference in quality or certain trademarks.
Don't know if Henk was referring to the same
Glasscapes One Way Vision Graphics.

Is there anybody who installed this on the rearwindow himself.Where to start??

In the middle,or in the corners.?

Anyone??

Thumbs up

C, When I had the graphics put on the side of my truck, they first lined it up and taped it at the top. I've seen window tint put on and they cleaned the glass and then sprayed something on the glass to kind of keep the tint moving just a little bit. I would suggest you start at the top, w/everything lined up. The go to the middle and work everything out from that point. Do not start from a corner!!! Which design did you decide to put on??? Here they everything from Am. flag to fish There's also this other tint for your windows that looks like fireworks. Kind of a holographic effect.

Tina,

I am not putting it on my truck.
Henk, the guy I met on Friday is putting it on his truck.I quess it's the same design as on the picture.
First he wanted the flag design but decided otherwise.American or checkered(black/white)flag,I don't know.

Thanks for the tips.

Done.

I didn,t see Henk installing it but he told me the trickiest part was that rear sliding window. He did a great job,the pattern is really smooth.

Further he told me that it is a strange view, if it's raining, when you are looking from the inside.

Here is Henk's Truck. The first entry in my D.O.G (Dutch Owners Gallery)
