I was just wanting to know if anyone has raced a chevy truck with their truck? was it the 5.3 or 5.7? What motor do u have? What kind of race was it and the most important question is who won?

 

Me...I always win. It was a dark day...wait it was night. He has a 350 (he is proud of it) I have a 460...no competition.

 

My friend has a '99 GMC Sierra Z-71 Ext. cab w/ the 5.3l. Any thing he has is automatically the best in his book. He really likes my truck better and he lets it slip out sometimes when he's talking to me (i.e. "your truck sits higher than mine", "I wish I had a fourth door", "I don't know what those noises are in my truck") but, the other day my brother-in-law was asking him how he liked his truck because he was thinking about getting one, to which my friend said, "I love it, it'll outrun Wayne's (me)! Well that's all it took for me! Me and the future wife and he and his girlfriend went to dinner, when we left dinner we lined them up at a red light. The light turned and we took off, I pulled away from him by about half a truck length and stayed there, he never pulled even with me. By the next red light, he had to turn one way and I turned the other at which time the future wife said "Well, you know he's going to have some kind of excuse." without me even prompting her to say anything. Needless to say, I haven't heard from him in a couple of days due to his embarassment.
