Hello to all:

Just wanted to let you know that I was accepted into the Insider Program without having been issued the original invitation.

I went to the Insider Web Site and requested an invitation using the e-mail address found in the Rules and Regulations section. About a month later Ford sent me a written invitation to call them, which I did. I received my password at that time. In addition, they said they would be sending me the die-cast model of a Lightning, although they said they were not sure they could match the color. I did not realize the model was included with the invitation to the Program.

So, if you are interested in joining the Program, try the e-mail address. By the way, the on-line Service Manual is the best feature of the site, in my opinion.

Well, I e-mailed them using that address, thanks wily. Maybe they will let me in now. Hopefully they will respond to my e-mail and I won't have to wait a month to find out that they are taking action.

Hello all...
Don't know 'bout the rest of you folks but personally, I don't want any part of an "insider's" club that don't want no part of me!

Besides... My buddy bought me my very own die-cast model of a Ford F-150 as a gift. He got it from a gas station for $4.95!

Here it is blasting through the snow on top of a bush in front of my house...

Insider responded to my e-mail and gave me the number to call to get registered. I called and gave the guy enough information for him to figure out that my truck was purchased on the A plan, he said that any of the plans, A, Z etc are not eligible for membership in the program, so that explains why I didn't recieve an invite. He said that the website was private right now, some how or another they figure the purchase plans are pulic although I don't see how since everybody does not have access to them, but he did say that the site is going public in September of this year and then I would be eligible, so anybody that is wondering why you were excluded, if you used one of the purchase plans, that is why you were excluded.

I got the bum's rush too!

I called and asked, "Where's my Ford Insider gift?".

The guy said, "Yeah Raoul, it's in the mail. Just like your last payment!".

My daughter just called and said I got a package in the mail from Ford. I had her open it, sure enough a little red die-cast truck.

Just in time too, since the big one got towed away.

I received mine in the mail along with the info cards. Only went to the site once, that was a while ago to register. Wasn't much happening then. Anybody been there recently? Are things picking up? This site keeps me busy enough.

I received my password and ID in the mail the other day and got in to look around. Only a few of the detailed TSBs work, although you can look at the summaries for all them.

The Service Manuals didn't work for me on Friday or today. Just said that access wasn't available or something like that.

The Maintenance Calculator worked, but there was nothing much of interest there.

Right now, I'm underwhelmed by it all.

(I do notice that on each login, they want you to answer another poll regarding your driving, etc. They're building a database on the members, which is OK.)

I emailed them - got a response to call & I did. Some woman went thru the whole process with me THEN asked if I was the original owner. When I said no, she said "sorry - you're not eligible" & that was the last I'd heard! You'd think they would START with any disqualifying questions FIRST & then proceed. Makes me think the program is run by people who drive Chevy's.
Anyhow I would love to get in & maybe someday I can. I want the diecast for my truck - I never see any like that on ebay. Oh well - at least I have the REAL truck - that counts for alot! LOL!

CL - I've seen the die casts of our trucks at several BP stations; the larger one's with the deli's and such. The truck run about $10 and are real nice quality. I saw my truck replica once, post poned buying it for a day and it was gone. All the other BP's I've been to have other models and colors.

I wrote those guys a real nice letter a couple months ago requesting membership (I am an original owner). Still haven't heard from them. They don't know what they're missing!

------------------
* 2000 F-150 XLT Black FS; 5.4L; 4x4 ORP
* Da Flip Chip! * 3.55 Limited Slip * Stepups
* Sliding Rear Window * 6-Way Power Seat
* Remote Keyless Entry
* Lund Trident Bug Shield * Custom Exhaust
* Fumoto Oil Drain Plug Valve (a must for do-it-yourselfers!)
* Wise Bedrug

So many mods, so little cash! On the up side, no wife to create a filibuster.
