Well I got a chance to drive a new chevy 2500, Well I like the ride but the front end dives on you when the brakes are hit. I guess you give up something for the ride.

I heard they were making chevy trucks without frames, but doing the unibody sorta thing. I also saw some 2001 crash tests and the chevy doesn't do very well. How the heck can you NOT put a full size truck on a frame? Maybe this does not include the HD's. I just hope Ford don't go down that path.

I am pretty sure it was the silverado. I will find try to find that link and post it. I did, however see a frame on a new chevy last week.

I test drove a '01 Silverado 1500, not a bad pickup. The interior looks cheap, but it rides nice and moves out pretty good. I could'nt buy it though because, well I'm a Ford kind of guy. And it has a hydroformed frame.

I think I heard that the new Explorer has a hydro formed frame too. That's not a bad thing and from what I understand it's good. Stiffer, stonger, better ride, etc.
