Post Body Part " Phrase" help

As most of you know I was hit by a school bus last week and have started the repair process. The wording on the repair estimate has me a little confused on whats going on in the repair.
They have listed "Remove/Replace door shell" front and rear. They adjuster claimed that they were putting new doors on and the prices are 500.00 for front and 300.00 for rear. They have also listed a " Repair rear door frame assembly(1 hr)" and R` door opening frame refinish(4.6hrs).so I`m not sure what they are doing. Is this the actual part of the door or the surrounding frame in the cab. The cab is fine except for a scratch but with the damage to the door there is no way they are going to straighten and put a skin on it.

Anyone familiar with this repair talk?? Its got me wondering whats going on.
Anyone know if the body side mouldings come from the factory finished in the truck colors?

Thanks for the help guys.

Can't help with the rest of the stuff, but the mouldings do come color matched.

2000,

It sounds like they will replace both doors. They have to strip the guts ( door latch/locker, window glass and mechansim ) from the old door and install in the new door. They also have to install & paint the new doors. You could also ask them to see the old parts.

Regards

Sounds like you are getting new doors, front and rear. The other stuff is to repair and refinish the rear door jam area. This is the hinge and surrounding area you see while the door is open.
I hope they have a provision on the repair order to blend the pass. side fender? Also, are they repairing the bed side,or replacing it?
Go to a bodyshop supply and get a "spot rot",a
well known implement for finding hidden damage.
You slide this over the body and it will tell you where it was repaired, and how deep the body filler is. It keeps you from getting ripped off,as for parts that were supposed to be replaced, and were repaired instead. I could have used one when I bought a 67 Mustang once,I found out after the fact. It had body filler 1" thick around the side scoops!!! Good luck on the repair work,,,,, 98

GIJoeCam, JMC...Thanks for the help!! Its appreciated.

98Screamer,
Thanks for the info. I have seen the doors in the boxes and the side bed panel as well as the inner wheel well filler(this am) so I know the parts are there. I didn`t see any damage to the hinge area but maybe there was. Since the damage wasn`t caused by me and by fault of a Bus driver I demanded new parts be put on and not repaired. They talked about putting a skin on the front door and fixing door frame and I told them no way. The adjuster agreed to a new door and not a skin. They also listed some inside trim parts to replace so I guess they looked at it pretty good.
General manager(10 yrs there) at dealer is a real good friend of my neighbors daughter that I was picking up so they said they would help to get it fixed right. I guess they feel if I wasn`t getting their daughter from school it wouldn`t have happened. Any little help is good on that end. Told them to keep it as long as needed to fix it right or it would be on their used truck lot. Body damage is exterior body parts and no frame/ cab damage so I`m just worried about the paint!!! They do have blending of the front fender included as well as 1.6 hrs labor to remove/re-install fender emblem and antenna. I made sure of that also
