Talking rear end making noises

just recently my rear started making a grinding noise when letting off the accelarator the rear would make a grinding noise. i have no clue what the problem could be ive checked out possibly a rebuild kit also took in consideration that the axles could be bad upon that the gears could be shot. no idea as to what the problem is. any suggestions?

Check the drive shaft with a good ape grip and see if you can find any slack in it. The noise you described is pretty bad, if it is in the drive shaft you should notice the slack.
But you should post a thread in the suspension forum. Some of the people on the site don't always look at the GD.

Imagine my disappointment when entering a thread in GD about rear end noises and a smiley and finding not one fart joke.
