No, they did not send me a letter or email... duh! thats is why im bitchin as well as for the price. I never received any notifications whatso ever statin the price change. Its dumb to pay almost 15 bucks a month for extra radio stations.. unless you drive for a living.. thats the only way its worth it. Radio is free, but extra stations cost you an extra 15 bucks a month or an extra $180 bucks a year.. stupid is what it is.

Im glad to see and hear others think the same, I could see payin 10 bucks for it a month, to me thats as much as its worth, think of magazine subscribtions and what you pay for magazines.. to me its kinda the same thing. Radio is free, cds now a days are almost free with downloading via the interent and sharing files and cds being cheap, then MP3 players, its all competion for them,

Good point I see them goin down the drain within the next 5 years, If you drive everyday for a living then I can understand wanting to pay that or keep it, but then I think almost 15 is ridiculous..

Same here, I have two unit and have had them for years. I say every year I am going to cancel and I wind up signing on for another year. I enjoy the units on my out door deck speakers. It is nice to have a party or take a swim and listen to commercial free music.

Actually, they did send out an email... I got it.... and, like many folks have mentioned, will likely be cancelling my subscription... especially now that I bit the bullet and got SuperFan with NFL Sunday Ticket so that I can get the games on my cell phone.

I enjoy not having to listen to edited music, and I love listening to Opie & Anthony that show alone is worth $15 a month to me. However I do the yearly subscription and the last time it was like 12.50 I would do a lifetime but XM doesn't offer it.

I was thinking the same thing but you beat me to it.

To the OP, if you don't think there's $15 a month of value there, then just don't get it. No need to get all riled up.

birddog.. hrm, WTF,.. Who the hell is deciding what is best for everyone else.. hrm. Not me, Im stating my opinion and my experiece with them and what "I feel" is just stupid. If you dont like it then keep a lookin and get on with your boring life, My rant is I got no notifications from Sirius, and I think its rediculous thats all, just stating this as a thread to others who may be interested in gettin it or who already have it and may not know that the price went up, I had no clue it did b/c I have month to month deduction out of my bank account and just happen to look and see it went up, Good to hear everyone else got a notification but I DID NOT, ok. They have all my info I check everything, I didnt hear of any change,

Decide what you want and think what you want, I dont give a damn

There ya go tman, problem solved, redwing to the rescue.

One other thing tman which might be helpful...
go to the Sirius website and just double check they have your correct email address when you sign in and check your preferences.
Then maybe make sure it's not getting sent to your junk folder. This might be a reason why you didn't get a notice.

If you think it is worth 10.00 MRC, then get the Sirius Everything plan
349.00 for 36 months, or 9.69 MRC.

Think of it this way, you think there is $120.00 / yr of value in no commercials but an additional 16.5 cents per day is way too much extra ?

That is about 4 XL cups of Dunkin Donuts coffee per month, or 5 songs per month downloaded ( have to think in terms of legal activities ).

I am trying to get at, the amount of money sounds huge when you say 60.00, but when you put it into terms of per month, or per day, in relation to other items you purchase, it is not that big.

Don't know if you go there ( I had to google the costs, I have no idea ) but if you go to MCD, do you get a small drink and hamburger, or do you get a large drink and a cheese burger ? If you do the second, that days additional cost for the 15.00 MRC plan is more than covered, and you are well into the next days additional 16.5 cents ( again 10.00 MRC to 15.00 MRC compare ).

picking up pennies off the ground could almost net you the additional money needed for a 15.00 MRC cost ( picking up pennies averages out to $ 10.12 per hour, tax free if you so choose )

Sirius sucks. It started to suck ever since they acquired XM. Now they want extra to listen online. They're not getting another nickel from me. I'm sure they want to offset the proposed "performance tax" that the geniuses in Washington are barking about. I just can't see issuing out another dime for satellite radio. They should include some sort of incentive. Maybe real-time weather or sports scores or something for the extra cost. Idiots. - Og

I have Sirius in both vehicles and listen to BTLS religiously, like another poster mentioned about O&A, I feel like that alone would be worth the $15. The internet charge I dont agree with, but I am not going to stroke out on the internet about it, if I feel it is too much $ for what it offers I will simply cancel.

I listen to Pandora Radio online now. I can customize the music to my liking and listen on my computer or cell. And it's free. - Og
