They have been back for quite a while, although I will not use them. They are owned by the same company that owns TigerDirect, Systemax. There web site originally was a copy of the TigerDirect web site with a different name.

If they ever re-open retail stores, let's see if they can be realistic with their prices this time.

Yep, just forgot about that one. That one for certain is an exact mirror of Tiger Direct.

No. I bought it WAAY before its closing and they would not take it back. I bought it before I knew DirecTV would replace my receiver. It said clearly on the receipt could return with in 30 days. Circuit City told me to send it back to DirecTV...DirecTV told me I bought it at CC to take it back there. Neither would take it back. I still have it.

Circuit City was absolute trash. I never understood why every single item they had was priced higher than it was at Best Buy. How can a $40 controller from best buy be $60 at CC? How can a $60 mouse from best buy be $90 at CC?

While I concur that they were a tad higher, your description isn't exactly the 'rule' as you make it sound.

Personally, I loathe Best Buy... I have lots of reasons but, on the flip side, I always left Circuit City feeling as though I'd like to go back and like I got good information from their associates.

The entire paradigm with 'big box' stores annoys me but, between BB and CC, I'd pick CC any day.
