A bad deal gone good. ( Pro Comp and streetsideauto )

It's not often we hear about the "good" stories so after a long ordeal with my new tires, I am very pleased with the outcome.

Here's my original post https://www.f150online.com/forums/wh...t-balance.html

So after everything I went thru trying to get the tires replaced and geting no where I was lucky enough to have another member hook me up with the contact info for the Vice President of Pro Comp. I sent him a letter explaining what had happened and that I was not happy with Pro Comp or Streetsideauto. He immediately emailed me back expressing his concerns as well and promised he would get to the bottom of this one way or another. 3 days later I was contacted by the President of Streetsideauto. He to, appologized for the everything and the way this whole ordeal unfolded. He told me he was sending me a return label for the 2 bad tires I had and had already shipped me 2 brand new tires at no charge. He also gave me a coupon code to get 10% off my next purchase on the website as well as a $100 gift card for the site. Within a week, I had talked to all the right people, had 2 new tires mounted and balanced on the truck and the old tires sent back. My truck now rides awesome and I'm happy with everything.

I gotta say, Pro Comp and Streetsideauto are back on my list of people to deal with. I can only assume this is an isolated incident with streetside since they have a lot of great feedback on their site and from what the VP of Pro Comp told me, they are affiliated with one of Pro Comps largest customers. Also, with the gift card they gave me, I ordered a car cover for my mustang and it was delivered the next day.

I just wanted to post this in case anyone searches these companies. They can see how it all worked out for me. I did enough complaining in my original thread. Just wanted to make sure everyone knew Pro Comp and Streetsideauto.com came thru in the end and made it right.

X2... sounds to me like you only got taken care of because you were lucky enough to get help from Just the right people. Otherwise just a normal customer who doesn't have the time to spend a month with bad tires and complaining on the internet would basically be up **** creek without a paddle.

I'm definitely glad they took care of you cause you got screwed for awhile there, and I think both your threads you posted are very fare to both sides, I just think you got new tires ONLY because you got lucky to get good help!

I'm looking at it this way you had to spend lots of money on a product and be forced to use it despite its obvious unsafe defectiveness for a month or so and was basically stuck with it. Then one day just the right person helps you out and then what should have happened to first day the problem was noticed by you happens a long time later.. somehow I still feel bad for you because I would have wanted those two tires replaced and refunded.. Any companies that took my money and screwed me for a month would be off my list for good no matter what they did in the end. I work to hard for my money, as I'm sure you do for yours.

good to hear! idk if i would do business with them anymore, if it were me. just because you FINALLY got the new tires you deserve, doesnt mean it wont happen again. and i know stuff happens sometimes, but i read your other thread when you were having problems with them, and they were rude to you over the phone and didnt want to speak with you...i would not do anymore business with them, but be mature about it

I hear you guys and understand what you're saying. I'm in the Service, sales and customer service business and understand that at times, problems arrise that take a little more work to get resolved.

I'm just glad my issue has been resolved and wanted to let everyone know. Like I said, I posted my complaints and feel its only fair to post the positive outcome.
