The censors are only looking at questionable letter combinations otherwise they let it through.

Which is why you have to be careful when the form asks about your second choice.
There is a man in Maryland who's personal plate is ' NONE '.

Too funny!

Well, I can tell you that it took me quite some time to get my new vanity plates. WA state does not allow the word "Sex" or any reference to sex on their plates. I had to prove to several people, at the state level, what I requested meant, and WHY I wanted it.

I finally got the plates last Saturday!!!!

From: In the fast lane from LA to Tokyo...

Back in 2004 here in SD there was one that almost shut down the privalage of having them.
It was "MPEACHW".
A very political statement but the lady's lawyer argued "free speech"
Now most have forgotten about that.

Explained to the first person that it was the "theme" of my truck. They did not understand what a theme is and told me "not approved". Sent me an offical letter. I fought back and finally got his supervisor on the phone (2 months later) and HE did not understand..... so I politely asked this wonderful state employee if he had internet access in front of him (I was on the phone with him).... He barked back at me and asked me "Yes, but what does that have to do with anything?".

After more explanation that I was trying to get him to LOOK at the pictures of my truck and he will understand (I was hoping), he finally went to my website. There was a minute or two of silence (I let him surf around my site and was still hoping he would "get it") he says to me, "I'm sorry, (I was starting to get mad until I heard the rest) I see on your application that you wrote this website in the explanation box and we did not take the time to look at it. They would have been approved months ago, if someone would have taken the time to READ your explanation, on your application. These are approved."

So, all in all, I fought the state and I won, months later!
I totally understand why they do not want any sexual references on their plates, but gesh, if ya look at my tailgate, it says it right there!!!!!

haha that's funny i saw a bit on the news a while back about a woman, a mother of like two children or something that wanted the plate "ILUVTOFU" haha she said she likes tofu but suites at the state level read it a different way and in this politically correct society would not let her keep the plates, haha just read into it for a minute and u will see why they frowned upon it, it took me a few minutes as well

There was a lady here in NB that wanted to get the plate WEED as it was her maiden name. Even provided all her records to prove it and they still won't give it to her.

I've had my vanity plate for 12 years. Not that mine is bad but there are 3 consecutive letters in the middle that spell a$$.If I tried getting that same plate today some p.c. jerk would probably deny it.
