I was in ft. lauderdale and miami february for the boat show. it was cold enough that we didn't take any boats out. haha. this has been one brutal winter. we actually got 6-8 inches of snow in the lowcountry.

i've got an 07 pioneer venture 175 with a suzuki 115 on the back.

actually cleaned it today. gonna see if i can't get some wax on her tomorrow and maybe do a little fishing. it'll get dirty again, but from sitting all winter that boat was nasty.

I am defanitely ready to get the boat out, she will need a good cleaning and a nice coat of wax, but the she will be up and ready. We have just a few short months to cram the lake time in, but its worth it all. Although, I am not sure how it happens but the wife and kids use it more than I do - maybe thats because I am at work trying to pay for it,,,,interesting!! lol 22 ft Ebbtide Sport with a upgraded Merc 5.0 And by the way, last summer, we were talking to this girl at the lake who said she was a boater with no boat! Long story short, my wife told her to find another boat, not sure what happended there, but it may have been the young bikini body that my wife thought I had seen enough of! LOVE THE LAKE!

Glad I don't have a boat anymore. Something always going wrong, $$$. The closest small lake that is big enough to tube or run an outboard is 45 min. away.

A jonboat is more practical around here.

I bought one at the beginning of last season. It works great and I can't complain. It holds a charge for several weeks which is more than I can say for my last battery.
And yes, I am ready for boating. Especially since I get to pay for year round moorage I only use 6 months out of the year.

You know what they say, "The best and worst day of a boaters life is the day he buys the boat and the day he sells the boat". I havent gotten to the second stage yet, probably because I still have a full warranty for two more years. Check back with me in three years! lol

Yep, time to get the water toys out. It is somewhat true about the saying above. I still like my boat, but it is a lot more maintenacne than my PWC. I

We are so ready! Haven't pulled them out of the garage yet and charged up the batteries or anything. It needs to get warmer than 50! Hopefully in the next month or so.....

This is from last year, at the lake....

Zaairman,

Why is that a first? PWC down't have outdrives, which are a PIA from a mainenance perspective in my opinion. They are also much more expensive to witnerize and summerize than PWC (which I do myself).

You should check it out! If you're anywhere close to OK City there's a race June 11-13. A couple of top fuel hydro's (8000 horsepower each) whipping through a 1/4 mile at 250+mph in 4.5sec is a spectacle your eyes and ears won't soon forget!
