WASHINGTON – Officials say nine people have been wounded in a drive-by shooting in the southern part of Washington, D.C., and that three arrests have been made.

Police Department spokesman Officer Hugh Carew says the shootings of six men and three women happened about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Fire Department spokesman Pete Piringer says five of the victims had life-threatening injuries. He says all were in their 20s and 30s, except for one teenager.

Several people were shot in one block and another found several blocks away.

Police say three people have been arrested and a weapon has been recovered. No motive for the shootings is yet known.

Authorities say four D.C. police officers were injured during a pursuit of a suspect's vehicle into neighboring Prince George's County. The injuries were minor.

is how the **** we can afford 30 million extra ppl on a health care system that you think won't suffer bc the government is dictating insurance companies. Government run medicare, it suck!
That extra 30 million aint going to pay jack. It's gonna be us plus more taxes and they are going to tax the middle class, they gotta.

What they are doing is bankrupting the insurance companies. The insurance companies won't beable to reject anyone and they won't beable to raise the price above the set price ceiling. So ppl won't buy insurance until they need it, the IC's won't beable to reject them bc the new bill says they can't turn anyone down and they will have to pay 500k or more in hospitol bills they can't even break even when ppl WILL do this. Same with illegals. Does this not make sense to anyone on here? So when the insurance companies go out of business, it's gonna be all government, and we are gonna be poorer and worse off. more in debt. Hell, does kno one see this? Do you think insurance companies are just trying to cheat us? Does anyone kno how much hospitol visits cost. I was in the hospitol for about 8 months from a car wreck when i was 16. $1 MILLION.

OH yeah and to stop ppl from not paying for insurance, then just getting it when they need it, the government has the perfect solution. They are going to fine ppl some small amount (like $300 i think) a year if they don't pay for it. Thats going to be less than what your gonna pay fro a year of insurance.

Do you think we are getting more doctors for this extra 30 million patients? Do you think that some how docs will be paid more? Do you think they will be as qualified?
