Still sleeping?
Elections aren't that far off. Are you awake?
Barack Obama has awakened a sleeping nation
FYI, Garry also wrote In election 2008, don’t forget Angry White Man
Don't press the snooze button. This is too damn important.

Should I get angry, I don't like to, because it is such a waste of energy. Besides, it's more fun to get even I get even by not asking anyone for anything.
PM me if you want my address to send donations for my cause.
I do remember reading that column last year, and I agree, much of it is true.

You've got to remember that November is about a lifetime away in political terms.
Obama, his administration, the democrats in congress and the main stream media are going to do their damndest to lull everyone they can back to their comfortable slumber.
It's going to be up to the people who have awoken. Who have decided that it's critical that we pay attention. That we must finally live up to our responsibility in our governing, to make sure that the masses don't take the progressive sedative that the Obama administration has prescribed.
I'm hearing from a lot of people who I would not have guessed would have had issues with Obama, that do. Big issues. That's encouraging, but I also see the extent that Obama, congress and the main stream media are going to to disparage and discredit anyone who dissagrees with the current agenda.
It's a tough road ahead. The work has only just begun. There's a lot of people in this country who's eyelids are already becoming heavy, ready to return to slumber. We're going to have to sound the alarm every time they doze off. Every time.

I'm reminded of a famous quote by Nikita Khruschev, former leader of the Soviet Union, 1953 to 1964:
"You Americans are so gullible. No, you won't accept communism outright, but we'll keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you finally wake up and find you already have communism. We won't have to fight you. We'll so weaken your economy ... until you fall like overripe fruit into our hands."
Unfortunately, this is so true. From the New Deal by FDR, to the Fair Deal by Harry Truman, to the Great Society programs by Lyndon Johnson, to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, to government involved in farming (think farm subsidies), and now ownership of Government Motors and "healthcare reform", the government has taken our freedoms away from us. Heck, you can't drive a vehicle without 'Big Brother' telling you you must wear a seat belt. I thought my safety was my choice.
And yes, I do see an awakening giant. It used to be called The Silent Majority. Just today I saw a coworker reading a copy of Barry Goldwater's 'Conscience of a Conservative'. This coworker used to be non political, and has now come out to oppose the current president's policies at every turn. I see more of these former non political people turning very anti-Obama in the next election, especially former independents who supported Obama, and are now very dissapointed in the way things are going. As one of my coworkers said, "Obama, the quicker *******er upper".
The Silent Majority will no longer be silent, nor will they support socialism.

But some people are so convinced that our President is out to destroy America they wouldn't recognize him if he introduced himself.

It's not a trick you dolt, it's part of Obama's energy policy. And if you had been paying attention during the Presidential election debates you would have realized that he was in favor of off-shore drilling where it made sense.
But some people are so convinced that our President is out to destroy America they wouldn't recognize him if he introduced himself.

You see I'm one that has an open mind. You can't even see sarcasm when it is presented to you. How about, you for once in your life open your mind to the future. You know ole' Slick ***** did allot of things, while the media was focused on Cuban Cigars.
Obama knows, this plan will be slapped down by big oil. But it will be done by conservationists. We're all puppets on a string, and believe what we see in the press. " The hand is quicker than the eye" my friend. Why don't you think instead of reacting.
