Great advice!

Most def.

I slow down even when I think that the car/truck might decide to pull a fast one on me.

I just take it easy when the asshats that ride my butt... It just makes it a little uncomfortable sometimes with how much room people leave.

I am taking a MSF Basic Rider course in less than 5 weeks... I just wanted solid ground before doing it.

Even though I got a crotch rocket, I don't treat it as one might think. I just ride it like I would any other bike, yet it is nice to know the power is there when I need it.

I thought it was going to be hard, but it's actually quite easy and very enjoyable.

The only thing I hated was my friend and I got tailgated by some morons a few times. They have no clue how fast us bikers can stop.... but for the most part, people were ok.

I just can't believe how such a small engine can bring this bike to life. It's amazing.

Tomorrow we are going out again, and hopefully try for 100 miles or so of easy riding.
I don't know you at all except for what I've seen on this site. With that said. My God man, please be careful. Go to the biggest empty parking lot(s) you can find and practice. Figure 8s, full on braking (70% front brake), counter steering (push on the left grip to swerve right), rinse repeat for a couple hours a day until you get to that MSF. Please.
