Maybe he is on a sebring forum and is being criticized for killing the earth when he said he was going to get a raptor .

When I was young, sitting at the dining room table,
my dad would say, "I never want to see any of you kids do this!"
Then he would take a piece of bread and sop up the gravy on his plate and eat it.

Anytime we had a meal with gravy we would get the same lecture and demo.

I had an uncle who would do something similar to us kids on our summer camping trips, only his demonstration usually involved a large display of flatulence......
