The Thread Crapping Thread

I drive my 09 Platinum 100 miles a day (mostly) on the autobahn here in Germany. I'd venture that you were going down hill with a tail wind to get that high over 80. I've driven mine for my commute at all speeds and found:
60-65 @ 20.1
70-75 @ 19.4
80-85 @ 18.2
90+ @ 17.0
P.S. I run Royal Purple motor oil and a K&N Drop in Air Filter. It DOES make a difference

From that same "Fuel Mileage Seems Strange" Thread ...
^^^ Yep, that sure IS strange ...
Another thing - driving a pickup truck-shaped barn door @ 90 mph while concurrently discussing mileage is the very definiton of a non-sequitur ... W. T. F

Your fuel mileage should be fairly well diminished at speeds of 85-90. You can't always believe the computer, but I use mine to try and help me be more mindful of how I am driving by seeing how high I can keep the average. The very lowest speed I can get my truck to shift into 6th is 41 mph indicated. I drove along for a few miles after resetting my average mpg computer once I got rolling and it was cranking out around 32 mpg until I finally had to stop at a light. It started dropping fast even while sitting at the light. My guess is that at 85-90, your truck would probably be getting closer to 16-17 mpg. Driving the speed limit should get you 20+ mpg.

I said something similar upon my very first-ever visit to a Ginormous USA WallyMart Supercenter ..." So much food, so little time ..." (then replace 'food' with 'beer', and repeat)

What's up guys,
I got a 5.4, FX2, 2008, SC and looking to get a cold air intake and later a performance (Evolution Programmer, Crypto..). Any tips which air intake would be a good choice?
I've found a variety, chrome and composite pipe. I've read somewhere that the composite pip supposed to be better.
Then i found a post where people swear on the RAM type of intake, which points to the front.

I'm so tired of people claiming that the lower your RPMS the better your mileage on the highway. when they don't do hardly any highway driving and all they do is whine and complain about the crappy mileage thier trucks get...
my supercharged trucks get better mileage than most n/a trucks can
