WHO IS SAYING HE IS AS GOOD AS HIS DAD? Its such a lame arguement. There are only one or two guys in NASCAR history who were as good as his dad. Any driver would love to be half the driver Senior was. It such a weak *** statement...

How do you know why I like Dale Junior? I was rooting for him since he was running the "mom n pops" paint schemes wwaaaayyyy back in the day. Me and him are about the same age, like similar things, are both laid back guys, etc. He was pretty popular before Senior died FYI. I wasn't a huge Senior fan either, he did kinda bully himself around the track. I absolutlely hated what he did to Terry Labonte at Bristol. Lots of Senior fans started rooting for Kevin Harvick after he passed away as well, why don't you haters start ragging on Harvick because he isn't anywhere near as good as Senior either.

Junior has way more wins and top 5s and he has raced almost 20 years LESS than Kyle Petty, no comparison really. Juniors stats prove he isnt mediocre like Kyle Petty, unless of course you want to cherry pick bad seasons or use the wrong stats.

Name me a driver with 10 + years in Sprint Cup who hasn't missed a pit stall at some point in their career? Every driver in Sprint Cup has missed a pit stall or two at some point. Junior only gets crap for it because you haters want him to fail and when he messes up you and the other haters get to rub his nose in it.

Their is such vile hatred out their for him, it doesn't really make any sense, he seems like a humble, laid back, genuine guy to me. But haters gotta hate on someone I guess!

You make Sr sound like the best race car driver ever, you never saw richard petty racing the way SR Did. If Mark Martin,Dale Jarret,Harry Gant, Rusty Wallace all raced the way Sr did they would have twice as many wins! By the way harvick is doing alot better than Jr has the last few years. Im sure some drivers has missed there pit stall but come on 2 times in one race and then did the same thing the next week that would only be JR

But they didn't knock people out of the way and didn't they get as many wins or the championship trophies either. NASCAR let him get away with it, don't blame it all on him. I doubt in todays kinder, sissy boy NASCAR era he would be allowed to get away with any of it, but rubbin and bangin was racin back then, it was a different era. I am making Senior out to be one of the top drivers in the history of the sport, which he was. Don't let your unequivical hatred for everything Earnhardt blind you from the obvious...All the guys you mentioned were awesome drivers too though.

Only the last few years count?

2008 to present:
Kevin Harvick - 2 wins, 20 top 5s, 41 top 10s, 0 poles
Dale Junior - 1 win, 14 tops 5s, 27 top 10s, 2 poles

Better yes. Alot better? Meh, not really....

Career:
Kevin Harvick stats - 13 wins, 69 tops 5s, 142 top 10s, 5 poles ( 9+ seasons)
Dale Junior stats - 18 wins, 90 top 5s, 148 top 10s, 9 poles ( 10+ seasons, + 5 races in 1999)

They are both good drivers.

Yep he missed his pit stall a couple times. You like to bring it up anytime the words "Dale Junior" are typed...I think Mark Martin missed his pit stall a couple times back in 1987 but its old news so I don't think it needs to be brought up anymore, unless I couldn't think of anything else to say...

Nope. Just pointing some things out and using stats to prove the haters mostly wrong. But they will hate him no matter how good he does.

No whining. Just pointing out that your arguments, for the most part, aren't valid. I am just having a good discussion about NASCAR. I didn't realize using stats to prove people wrong was whining.

I know I know, but they gotta be reminded every once in a while, even if they ignore the facts, at least they are there for them (and everyone else) to see. Its very humorous when they don't acknowledge when they are proven wrong. It makes my point for me, they are going to hate no matter what.

Dont think mark martin has missed his pit stall but one time he did come in one lap early I remember that race still to this day, it took quite a man to say what he did when he was interviewed

From: In the fast lane from LA to Tokyo...

Been thinking about this ever since the nationwide win.

Whose car was junior driving?
And is there a chance that in the next couple of years he might go to rcr?
A similar situation happened before he went to hendrik.

Just some thoughts.

Davey Allison was the best, just lost him too soon. Kulwicki was good, too, but not as good as Davey. Earnhardt was a bully, he gets a lot more credit than he deserves, I lost all respect for him when I saw him put Terry Labonte in the wall on the last lap at Bristol to cost him the race. Rubbin's racin', sure, but if the only way you can get by someone is wrecking them, then you don't have very much skill. Richard Petty was a much better driver.
Dale Jr. is a good kid, he's a decent driver, but he got gunshy after some incidents and he has been more interested in "being Dale Jr." than being a driver for quite some time now. I can't blame him, though, no matter what he does he is a fan favorite, so heck yeah, don't push it too hard, stay safe and just smile sounds like a good plan.

If I recall correctly it was a RCR car with a Hendricks engine. Many, including me, believe if it doesn't work out with HMS that the next logical step would be to join RCR. Childress already said he would welcome him with open arms. I think that is where he should of went in the first place.

Mr. Hendricks has some decisions to make, he has 5 drivers and 4 cars for next season, its gonna be interesting to see it all work out.

I have a random thought too: Why is it so hard for people to admit they are wrong? Just a thought I was having this morning while eating breakfast.....
