Ebay low lifes
I hate it when your selling something on ebay to people that have good feedback, then right at the end some ebay low life comes in for the kill and snags it. Then never responds to ANY invoices you send. Its been almost 24 hours with no response from the guy that bought my phone on ebay. Im sick of people like this. You buy something YOU PAY FOR IT right away. You know you bought it so why wouldnt you pay for it in a resonable time frame? And its always some towel head name that does it too.
I sold a radio on there one time and the person never paid for it, sent probably 7 emails and no response even after I said i would report them to ebay as a non payer.
So I reported them as a non payer and re listed it. Its a pain in the a$$ tho when you have to relist it and wait longer for it to sell again.
They should have a background check when you sign up or something

Ban all East Indian's from joining Ebay in an effort to stop non-payments on Ebay auctions.
The background check should include a photo, and if the applicant is seen wearing a turbin, they would be instantly disqualified from becoming a member of the EBay community.

Great suggestion...so to recap:
Ban all East Indian's from joining Ebay in an effort to stop non-payments on Ebay auctions.
The background check should include a photo, and if the applicant is seen wearing a turbin, they would be instantly disqualified from becoming a member of the EBay community.

OP - For as many stupid E-Bayers there are out there, you will have 10 times the idiots on Craigslist. I personally always pay right away for any Ebay purchase, but on that same note, I am always the guy who swoops in at the last minute to steal the item. I always wait until there is about 30 seconds left in the auction and then place my highest bid.
I hear ya though, non paying / responding bidders suck. I was left holding my 93 f150 after the highest bidder never paid, claiming that they guy who won his car never paid him, so he couldn't buy mine. HTF is that my problem?

That's how I do it too.
I understand the OP's frustration because it is a pain in the nuts when you list an item, pay insertion fees, final value fees etc, and then have some clown stiff you on the payment. Sure you get the fees back but it's still a giant waste of time.
Ebay protecting the buyer's doesn't help matters any either.
I had a guy stiff me 2 months ago on a offer he made through BIN or BO.
I accept the guy's offer, then he doesn't pay, so I write him to find out what the deal is, and he writes back with "Oh sorry man, I placed 2 offers on 2 different auctions and I didn't think you would accept"
Nice excuse for not paying, what a ****.
Anyway, since we can't leave neg feedback for buyer's anymore, I left him a postive feedback that said "This should be a negative, stiffed me on payment".
2 weeks later his account was not active anymore. This guy had a name like Mike Smith or something, so the douch's on Ebay are not specific to a certain group of people, they come in all walks of life.
As frustrating as it can be, 99% of my experiences on Ebay have been good.
I've dealt with a couple of bad ones but I don't think there's any escaping it regardless of where you sell your stuff online.
I recently just bought my wife a bracelet on Ebay for $2,700. I was a bit nervous because this was the most expensive item I've ever bought on there, but it worked out great. The local gemologist just did the appraisal for me, and it was spot on, exactly what the seller said in his auction, and came out at $8,500 for replacement value.
Ebay is good, but you have to tread carefully and really research everything ahead of time.

I never bid until the last second, literally. There's been many times when my bid was the exact time auction ended. Only one flaw......if your bid is not high enough...there's no second chance. However, I never make my bid higher than I'm willing to pay for an item.

Yep. I know what you're talking about. I don't really buy enough stuff on Ebay to make it worth while for me. I buy maybe 1 item every year or two...
