Pot is illegal, and unless you smoke a pound a day, it's cheaper then legal alcohol. I would also say it's just as available, just not from you're local liquor/corner store.

 

Then friends of mine that did it must have smoked 2 pounds a day then. Every week they went through over $60 on that alone.

 

The "street price" of marijuana, commercial grade, nothing exotic, just standard marijuana is $5.00 per gram, unless you're getting ripped off.
Also, William Randolph Hearst had a huge interest in the timber logging business, and hemp was ready to take over a lot of that business, so he ran a total fear/smear campaign against marijuana in the 1930s, so big business/government stood to lose money from hemp farmers, that's why pot is illegal, and it's a stupid reason, especially considering alcohol is legal (not to mention tobacco).

It usually comes in one of 2 types, "good" and "bad". The "bad" stuff might be $5/gram, but the "good" runs closer to $15. Think of "bad" stuff as beer, and "good" stuff as vodka, in terms of relative strength. (Yes, I've been to Amsterdam)

Regardless, I can easily spend $60 going out to a bar for one night, so I don't think spending $60 a week is "expensive", unless you're broke, in which case you probably shouldn't be buying alcohol or marijuana.

No I dont and yes they are always broke.
At the time we worked at a grocery store and only got about $100-$150 per week because there weren't enough hours to go around but everyone needed a job.

I was the one who mostly saved but spent a little money on the truck or into fishing and hunting gear. The fishing gear at least pays for itself and even a little profit on the side.
