Finally a trade worth doing

So I've been trying to sell or trade my expo and now I have a guy in the CA bay area that I'm meeting on X mas eve.

98 Trans am ws6 ram air with a 6spd white t tops 73K miles

Long tubes cat less

Needs to be tuned has a cel on from no tune

Has a zex kit installed but not hooked up

This sounds like the perfect car for a pro charger or T trim

Finally

I’ve had so many off the wall offers from a 03 accord to 67 nomad to twin v bike what ever he hell that is, turbo crx, and the just flat out junk and BSers. LOL

Spent over an hour talking to this guy. He removed his CL ad

I can’t wait to see it.

Yeah I wanted a really clean fox body but hell I can’t pass up a killer deal like this. Besides the 5.0 even with a t trim would be dog meat compared to a sc'ed ws6 with 10lbs of boost and dot slicks and water meth and tuning

I could finally have something back in the high 10s to very low 11s and more if I waste as much as I did on this truck.

It was fun but there just no comparing a 400 something HP suv to a 400 something HP car.

Any one here have any thoughts on the ws6??

I’m all ears

You will need a good rearend before making any kind of horsepower-Moser 9" or 12 bolt strange-I would go with the 9". You can break the stock rearend easily with just drag radials or slicks on stock power. Also, you will be on borrowed time with 10 lbs and a real good tune. However, you can run 8lbs quite safely for a long time with a good tune.

They are nice cars and that is good milage for one. I had a procharged 99' Camaro SS with a Moser 9", 5lbs, long tubes, traction bars, etc, etc. You will keep adding things to it to make it a little faster but it is a fun hobby for sure. Mine was making 427 rwhp and 441 rwtq when I sold it to get the F150. Good Luck and I say go for it over the fox body for sure. LS1 is a good motor for making power.

They can be fast, yeah. Some of them were pretty cars. All in all, it's a Chevy, though.

I had one of the first 1998 Trans Am WS-6s in Dallas. I ordered it as soon as they opened the order banks. It was a bad a*& ride. I loved it. Unfortunately, it was very impractical for the time, so I traded it for, you guessed it, a F-150! Enjoy. If I could find one in good shape, I'd buy it immediately. Anything around here is ragged or people want stupid prices.

And I just got this email today. For every 10 not so great trade offers I get 1 to 2 good ones.

1994 Corvette convertible, LT1 engine (330 HP), six speed trans, 98,000
miles, never wrecked, second owner. New top, good tires, no body damage
except usual paint chips. Just had $700 tune up last month, full
Greenwood body kit, never abused. Corvette drives perfectly and looks
even better. Beautiful aqua teal exterior, black leather interior. Was
getting ready to sell it for $12,900 but don't really want the hassle. It
lives in Las Vegas. Clear title in hand. Please see attached pics.

Your ad said you had additional pics, can you email them to me? Thank you.

John

I'm not a fan of C4 Vettes. I'd rather have the WS6.

I checked Google and the c4 info I got was 300hp #? Didn’t gm go to an lt4 right around that time? It also said the hard top runs a 14.1 stock

98 ws6 it said 325hp stock with a 13.3

I would think the vette being lighter would go better then that?

Yeah I got over the barbie vettes when I was in my early 20's but a 96gs vette in that dark blue is a nice looking c4. I always thought that working on one would be super easy sense the engine bay is like almost all open with the hood up. Heads and headers would be the easiest thing to do. Cam on the other hand might suck.

Either way I need/want a vehicle that gives better return on the power to weight ratio.
