Yep -- I think gas is going to get real scary in a few years.

Fortunately for me, the number of miles I need to drive for personal reasons is very small -- probably less than 100 miles per week most of the time. All the other driving I do is work related, and thus eligible for reimbursement through my mileage expense.

It makes me wonder what's going to happen to these guys that have 40-50 mile one-way commutes to work -- it may reach the point where drives like this become financially unmanageable.....

I kinda assumed it was something like that, but 10 cents a gallon difference is a lot, no? That's what I was wondering.

Have you noticed that our politicians are in the process of making the USA more like Canada? You can change your location but things aren't going to be all that different in Florida, other than warmer weather.

Yeah, civil unrest will bring thoes gas prices down. It'll also encourage our politicians to use our military on our own soil, against us.

The price of gas will only keep rising long-term as the Fed continues to print money which weakens the dollar.

This is why China and Russia now exchange between their own currencies and not the dollar.

Maybe the gas prices are high because....

I dont know why you think Im trashing America, because Im not. Im very glad to live here, and I feel safe. Shell Gas Prices (US$/Gallon)

Propane $4.25
Diesel $6.455
Euro 95 (90 Octane) $8.11
Premium 98 Leaded (I believe 93 Octane) $8.53
Premium 98 Unleaded $8.41

Most of the trucks overhere run on Propane but over the years Propane is getting more expensive than other fuels.

here in the sunny (not so much) Okanagan B.C.

$1.08 per litre x 3.7854 = $4.09 per US gallon for 87 octane

$0.74 per litre x 3.7854 = $ 2.80 per US gallon for auto propane

three guesses which I use and the first two don't count...

regards
