I spent just over 6 years in the Navy, the King Neptune is because I am a shellback. The mermaid and fouled anchor are just because i wanted a sleeve and needed more work to wrap around my arm. The phrase "Oderint Dum Metuant" on the inside of my arm means "let them hate so long as they fear". It is kind of my reminder of how crappy certain superiors treated us and to not act like them.
