Ah, another good point, I'm not sure where I'd position it exactly yet. Most pants I have my leatherman and flashlight at the 3 position.

Every thought of some type of bag system? err a Man Purse. Seems really hard to concel over a T-shirt depending on how thick it is and such. I've done it some but they are the heavy weight shirts.

My high noon holster is almost identicle to the brown holster with the clip that was posted. Very easy to take on and off, cheap, comfortable and stays put on the draw.

I carry appendix though as I find it most comfortable. And I just slide my XD to the 3 o'clock position when driving long distances for comfort.

If I was going to carry at the 4 or 5 oclock I would go with a crossbreed.

I carry a Mr. Softy

Also a nice holster...

The only thing that I'm not 100% about is that it doesn't have the leather up near the slide. I like the leather because it prevents obstruction from anything binding the weapon on the way out of the holster, plus, it prevents sweat from going on the slide as well.

As "05Black" points out... another thought on holster choices is position. First off, I'm a right handed draw... and my holster position really depends on my actions for the day and the time of year (winter/summer).

For example... If I am going to be in the car for a period of time or have a jacket on, I prefer to keep it at 10oclock position. This way it can easily be reached when sitting in the car or standing with little movement or without having to lean over for it. in another example, if I DO NOT have a jacket on, and I'm not in the car a majority of the time, I prefer to wear it a the 4oclock postion, with a t-shirt or sweatshirt. At 4oclock, you do not look any wider than you are, it doesn't grind you hip bone, if you are asked for your wallet, you can reach back as if to go for your wallet and its right there... plus, if you are ever forced on the ground in the event of a robbery... you are more than likely to be forced face down...hence you would still be able to reach it in the event you need to.

Again, its all about choice...

I was looking at split decision, same as softy just the forward cant. I'm concerned about appendix being uncomfortable when sitting, I just assume its going to want to push it into either my gut or my pelvis

I looked at a local shop and they had an uncle mikes, it felt soft but I knew I'd be fuming mad trying to single handedly reholster it with it.

Right now I'm debating mostly between cross breed's qwikclip and the high noon split decision. cross breed looks like it may be just that little bit more comfortable. Reason being a slight concern for the fact I do always carry a leatherman and flashlight on the 3-3:30 position, otherwise the super tuck would probably get the wink over the qwikclip.

I love the Crossbreed. I drive with my G23 in all the time. It is a lot more comfortable than you would think.

AVFrog, can you give me rough measurements of both clips n such so I can try to estimate where I'd be able to clip it on at and miss my leatherman / maglight?

I've got a question for you guys who carry a revolver...

Do you carry one all the time? At work? Free time? All over? or just depending on where you're going?

We can't have squat up here in Canada but if I was able to, I would think it would be like my cell phone and car keys, never leave home without it.

I plan on carrying mine except at work, company policy is you down the road if you have one on premises.

it seems most, like my brother, carry all the time they leave the house, when home its near him. Tho I'm not sure he does at work either.

I carry the majority of the time I leave the house except to work or class since I'm not allowed to have weapons on those properties.

I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

I dont carry a revolver... using the odds of 6 -vs- 13, I'd rather carry an auto and have the 13. If I can't get the job done after 13, I'll throw the gun at them... if I still miss, I deserve to get shot...LOL.

- I carry about 80% of the time
- At work is a no-no... I do IT work...but I also do some real estate investments, in which case I do carr ALL THE TIME
- Free time... depending on what activity I'm doing...and where I'm going afterwards

That does suck up in Canada... PA is a CCW or Open Carry State depending on where you are at. I ONLY CCW... I dont need any additional attention, although one or two people have seen it by accident.

While I do sometimes carry a revolver, normally it is a small 9mm auto. And I would guess that I carry about 50% of the time. I work in Chicago and the rules in both Chicago and Illinois are annoying to say the least. But in Indiana, I usually do carry as a regular matter of course. Much like I grab the cellphone and car keys, I take the pistol out of the safe and drop it into the holster.'

I carry 80% of the time, my choice is the ruger LCP.380 (pocket or waist)and a S&W .357 revolver (Shoulder).

I carry every time I leave the house and when I am not allowed to carry at another location it's locked up in the truck. I also carry knives with me at all times.

I carry almost all the time....I work in Law Enforcement so I have my duty weapon on me at work.

Other than that, I always have my backup with me unless I plan on consuming alcohol. Then it stays in my lockbox I have in the truck or at home.

I would rather have it and not need it, then need it and not have it.

PASnake....that is my only gruff with the holster as well. I carry it with an undershirt tucked in to prevent the gun from sitting against my abs, then an overshirt over it for concealment. It hardly prints at all for a double stack mag which I love.
