Yes the trigger pull is long and heavy on it, but its not unlike a glock or anything. Plus I think its better suited for a CCW because your not going after the 2lb break of a Kimber 1911. Your going for a weapon that has no chance of firing while being carried which a longer heavy trigger has no chance of being pulled while carried and a 2lb no creep easy break has more of a chance.

If your ever in a situation its quick pull aim and squeeze. You dont have to fumble to find a safety, which under stress may be much harder to find than you think no matter how much time and practice you've put in.

Im currently looking for either a Kimber custom. Or if I can get my hands on a S&W model 19 pre lock. Whichever deal presents itself first is the one ill buy

I would love to hear what your CCW Weapon of choice is for the summer time...

I LOVE and CCW my Sig 228, with a 13 clip, modified grips and sights...I simply LOVE the gun, shoots awesome... but to be honest... Sig's much like the Glocks are a wide gun and can be combersome when wearing light clothes in the summer.

Currently, I'm looking at two sub compacts.... a Sig 250 and XD9. My issue with the sub compacts are that I have big hands...and I hate having my fingers off the end of the weapon. I know... I can get a mag extension... I have doing alot of review of both of these and wanted to hear what everone else is carrying.... especially in the summer...

My musts are.... it must be an Auto.... 10 rounds or more....and no safety...

Thoughts...?

Just adding more experiences to the list of the crossbreed holster. Doing new gears/carriers in the rear of the truck, not all that uncomfortable.

I feel the same as you. I have big hands too and I cannot stand having my fingers hang off the end of a grip on a Sub compact. I dont tuck in my T shirts and I can conceal my XD40 pretty easily with an IWB holster. And im not a big frame guy, just tall.

As for a small subcompact. Im currently looking at a Springfield EMP. The 1911 style is pretty easily concealed because its a very thin gun. .

Funny... I just looked at that weapon last night... what's not funny was the price tag... HOLY F. But it is a VERY nice weapon.

since I've been laid up in bed, sick as a dog over the last week, I've done alot of research and come up with the following list of weapons...and am in the process of narrowing it down...

In no order:
1. Springfield XD9 SC
2. Glock 26 SC
3. Sig 250 SC

I'm very much a SIG guy, however... although very smooth and nice, I'm not really that crazy about the DAO trigger on the 250.. plus, it does not have any grip or trigger safety. My carry weapon now is a Sig 228 and I love the DA/SA... but I also DONT keep one in the pipe. My intent with this new weapon is to have it light and keep one in the pipe

The XD9 is also very nice and compact... it has a grip and trigger safety... but there are alot of parts inside...and it does weigh more then the Glock.

The Glock 26 is very nice, light, has the safety on the trigger and I can add a +2 grip extension that will allow me to have my full hand on the weapon. Plus I can interchange mags with other Glock 9mm for additional capacity if needed.

In summary... like I said, I love the Sigs and if it had trigger or grip safety and was DA/SA, I would probably purchase one... I like the XD9 as well and heard alot of positive things... however, it does have a largr footprint and weights more.... so for now, it looks like my first choice is going to be the Glock 26 with a +2 grip extension as my summer carry weapon...

Any other comments, suggestions or additions that I can look at...? thoughts...?

THanks...

^The 250 has alot of problems. Around here they were about $600 when they were released and now you can buy new for around $400. It doesn't have the typical Sig quality.

The G26 and Xd9 are solid choices. I'd also look at the Kimber Solo
