Angry So I Got My Truck Back Right! But....

As soon as I got off the freeway I heard this horrible noise and my truck was not drivable after that. It was as if the transmission had failed again! You have no idea how I felt that moment, if you guys never seen a man cry like a little girl you should have seen me that day. * But after I calmed down I said to myself, myself, there is nothing that cannot be repaired so stop crying!

Had to call triple A and got towed back to the shop "AGAIN"! When Randy, at performance associates, took a look at it he found out that in reverse the shaft would turn but the tires wouldn't; he concluded at the spot that the rear end went out on me.

I've been aware that my rear end is the weakest link but I didn't want it go out on me right now right now; later laaaaater, would have been better! But all I have to do now is deal with the situation.

After Randy took the diff apart he found out that the driver side axle had twisted in two pieces, causing carrier damage. Today he is acquiring the components needed to repair it. A set of chromoly axles will be delivered this afternoon and all the races ,bearings, pins and shims are ready. The carrier has been re-machined and can be used again, he informed me a few minutes ago.

My intention in the future is to replace the front and rear axle assemblies with the best dynatrac the market has to offer. So randy will make the rear end work with the repairs he is making now.

*
I really needed these guys when my rear diff went out on me that day>>> https://www.f150online.com/forums/ge...cult-task.html

Throw a shortened D60 in there, never break it again.

I will but I first need to pay off my new engine, tranny and now this last incident which brought my bill up to $18,000.

Yeah when I'm done with this truck it should be better than a tank.

How are you and yours doing by the way?

I always thought that the 9.75 was really durable.

Your too hard on your equipment. I'd say you should use a mountain bike but then again I've broken every moving part on mine just riding on pavement so I have no position to say it.

Couldn't you find a cheaper scrap axle for the time being?
